it would be fantastic if they would dare to predict a new armageddon date! but i am afraid they wont be so stupid to change their current irrefutable position! :(

New Date for Armageddon - 2015
by Dawn inthe following is a message from another jw forum i visited:.
i came across a scripture (genesis 15:16) which says that god's people would return "in the fourth generation".
true, it doesn't say where in the fourth generation but as they were to be in egypt for 430 years then if they return in the fourth we're looking at generations being divided up into approx.

Admit doubts
by Realist inwould a jw ever admit that s/he has doubts about the wt teachings?
do they have the order to pretend they believe everything or could they discuss what bothers them?.
i assume they have to pretend they think everything is dandy and the teachings logical when they speak with elders or other witnesses.

is there a way to make a JW admit that he has doubts?

thank you guys!
that is very interesting!
why wouldn't you discuss doubts with outsiders? were you mainly afraid the WT would somehow get informed or because you thought you wouldn't be rescued at armageddon if you admit doubts?

Hi all,
i have a question.
would a JW ever admit that s/he has doubts about the WT teachings? do they have the order to pretend they believe everything or could they discuss what bothers them?
i assume they have to pretend they think everything is dandy and the teachings logical when they speak with elders or other witnesses. but how about when they talk to outsiders?
thanks!

I have a similar question: what should i expect if i ask a witness if he would/could tell me if he has any doubts in the teachings? would they under all circumstances deny doubts about the WT???
@ fatalerror: yeah that response sounds familiar! :)

christs ethics (as that of several other religous leaders and founders) are great (with few exceptions). that he is not god's son and hence will not come back doesn't change that!
to your original question:
muslims believe that jesus was a prophet. he is not gods son and will not come back.
as far as i know muslims believet hat one goes to heaven after death...no resurrection. -

JW becoming normal religion
by Realist inam i wrong or is there a trend to make the wt to a normal religion?
first they gave up to predict who the new king of the north is.
then they stopped predicting the end of the world.

am i wrong or is there a trend to make the WT to a normal religion? first they gave up to predict who the new king of the north is. then they stopped predicting the end of the world. they get more and more relaxed on the blood issue. several othjer things like the BJ prohibition are lifted...if it continues like this the WT will be nothing but a boring normal religion in a few years!
is that observation correct?? -

Calling all scientists
by gsx1138 inso i'm in my communications class and i'm listening to all the speeches.
we have 2 christian fundamentalists in the class which was why i chose wicca as my topic.
anyway, the first one gave a speech on how carbon 14 dating is a hoax because the isotope that they measure only has a full life of 50,000 years.
