JoinedI was raised as a second generation witness and knew from the time I was a small child that I would never be a witness. I told my parents at 12, a horrifying event and the next four years of my life were a living HELL (I got kicked out of the house at 16)! Imagine my surprise when my mother was disfellowshipped for divorcing my father when I was 19, after oppressing and rejecting me for my entire life. My father and brother are still witnesses, but my father said, "at least you had the guts to stand up for what you believed in". My little sister is inactive and wants to leave, but if she disassociates herself, my brother won't let her see his kids.Other than that, I am 24, happily married and a college student. I live in Iowa, and have been blessed by having a very accepting JW father. So they aren't ALL bad. I have a great relationship with my mother and sister as well and a bunch of great friends. Two dogs, two cats, 13 snakes, three hedgehogs and six mice. They call my house the zoo.
