the jw's always teach that our prayers should not be repetitive.. however, for those that are still "active" (and for those who still remember), i present to you typical words or phrases that make up a jw prayer.. feel free to add to the list!.
-"dear heavenly father, jehovah" or "jehovah god".
-"bowed heads and humble hearts".

Sometimes they would be extremely verbose in describing Jah's qualities and say something like:
"Jehovah our loving, gracious. kind, merciful Heavenly Father.. we etc, etc,"
And sometimes if they were trying to be flamboyant, they would add:
"Agape love"
into the prayer somewhere.

history of religion has always believed in the devil, but has portrayed him in different lights....he himself transforms into an angel of light, making something that is evil seem innocent and fun.

I finally sat and read this entire thread.
It has been often said on this board that WT officials "monitor" this website.
I personally believe that fact because so many people who have websites which expose corruption and contradictions within the WTS gather here to communicate via the Internet. Not to mention, with the domain name www.jehovahs-witness.com it is uncertain how many "worldly" people with no knowledge at all come to visit this site to learn about Jehovah's Witnesses, and thankfully are quickly turned away by seeing some of the threads which expose the shunning, pedophilia, literature contradictions, false prophecy, etc.
I would wager the WTS is seething at the fact Simon owns this domain name. I mean honestly, how many "worldly" people would type in www.jehovahs-witness.com before they would www.watchtower.org ? Most dont even know of the Watchtower Society as an official name. They just know "the Jehovah's"
That aside, since it is most likely that the WTS does read this site, I think some of you should be ashamed of yourselves.
While I of all people completely understand and agree with being passionate about a cause... to sit here and sling insults with someone (Im just as guilty of being in flame wars and arguing with "trolls") discredits someone to an extent. The only difference is Bill I highly admire your work, and to those who resort to name-calling.. if you have an active cause such as the silentlambs effort, it makes you appear vindictive and spiteful rather than justified.
Please cease and desist with the arguing and assumptions people. If you cannot get along or you feel someone else has an obvious "agenda".. then ignore that person and move on with your efforts in the cause you are really fighting.
I know how it can be to be blinded by anger momentarily. We have to remind ourselves sometimes it is just not worth it.

i was talking to my jw sister the other night, long distance.
she, like me, was raised a jw.
she is a sweet, sincere and wonderful woman.
One must never forget with JW there is an irrational explanation for every conceivable situation.
-When a "worldly person" succeeds = they are evil and "Satan is blessing their wicked path in the last days of this system to try and entice God's Servant's to turn away."
-When a "worldy person" fails = this is a testament that "the world is a lonely, dark, corrupt, wicked place and that any JW who stray from the flock will suffer a similar fate."
-When a JW succeeds = very simply a matter of "Jehovah is surely blessing their efforts."
-When a JW fails = this is an example of "persecution and trials a loyal servant of God was prophesied to endure in the last days of this wicked system of things" OR, if the JW was fringe and subject to gossip.. they turn on themselves and say secretly "this JW was spiritually weak and deserved his/her fate"
There is no rationalizing with a cult. They have an indoctrinated mindset and will provide an explanation, no matter how illogical, for EVERYTHING.

With each passing year the WTS grows more arrogant, even as their numbers decline and their predictions fail.
