I can't help but notice the similarities between our lives. I am also currently 21, I was baptized even younger than you (10) and had my first run in with a JC because of my libido too, (twice actually) I got reproved the first time and remained on restrictions for a couple of years, all the time praying that Jehovah would help me. (He never did. Go figure.) Then I later got disfellowshipped for another count of acting on the natural urges of a young man. Though, that was back when I still would have felt guilty for keeping something from the elders. Unfortunately, I am not also moved out of my parent's house, ah well hopefully a college education will end up being worth this torture for another couple of years.

My awkward elders hearing

Assembly Dramas:They were so bad.... but.... you waited for them to break away from the monotony!

you do remember the four day assemblies... sitting outdoors being fried in the sweltering heat,getting heat stroke in the middle of july in an outdoor baseball stadium.sitting outdoors from 9:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. was so much fun while you wore a suit,long sleeve shirt and a tie while your brain fried.
mom's who had children to take care of,lug strollers,feed all the kids,take them for bathroom breaks and try to not faint from the heat.. the sound and audio was always breaking and barely audible from the wind,airplanes flying over and (if you attended the cicero,illinois circuit )you would smell horse manure from the horse stables next door.. you know that you are a jehovah's witness.... when the only excitement waiting for the drama... where brothers and sisters dress up in ancient cloths,fake beards,fake rocks and fake soldier uniforms and wave their hands incessantly to pretend that they are acting out a drama.the excitement was unbearable!.

Even when I still thought it was God's organization I would inwardly roll my eyes at the disproportionate praise that was lavished on these movies and dramas. It made me think of the way a parent may praise their child's macaroni art as nothing short of a masterpiece.

God answers JW prayers about trivialities while ignoring the abuse of little children
by jambon1 ini've heard many experiences about how jehovah answers the prayers of jw's - convention items about pioneers gas bills, car repairs, job opportunities.
now, if this is true, you are actually stating that god has directly intervened in your life.

Even when I was deeply in the Organization I rarely if ever prayed to God to help me through anything or believed that he was responsible for making anything in my life easier. Because I could never see why God in all his wisdom and power would help me with trivialities while people in other nations starved and died. The only exception to this was an issue I had that led to me being reproved and placed on "restrictions" for several years, and of course God never did help me overcome it.

kingdom hall south dakota live stream.....i found this video on youtube.com.
it reminds me of my old kingdom hall where hardly anyone is sitting in the front rows and doesn't seem like they have a large membership.most kingdom halls sit around 200 people at the most and seem to have a hard time filling the seats.. my old congregation had around 45 members when i left 4 years ago.we always seemed to have a hard time meeting the monthly expenses.some months,i was told that some elders would contribute extra money so the congregation would not be in the negative for the month.. how many members did your congregation have while you were still attending and did meet its expenses for the month?.

The congregation I attend has something like 120-30 publishers I think, though it is the only congregation in the county, an hours drive to the next nearest.

Was There ANYTHING Positive That You Experienced Because of Being a JW?

It gave me decent public speaking skills, (though it countered that by hindering my interpersonal communication skills by burdening me with the idea that I need to be subtly steering the conversation towards religion so that I could preach to them.)
Other than that I can't really think of much it has given me that I wouldn't have gotten anywhere else, except maybe that my family is closer than most, but that tends to be the case when you all view 99.9% of the world as people to be avoided wherever possible.

and most of them i regard with mild annoyance.
but there is one track of thinking that is so stupid it really gets under my skin: when, in order to try and prop up "faith", people try and tear down reason and critical thinking.

Maybe you find the theistic response which questions human rationality most troublesome because you find it difficult to formulate a "reasonable" response.
Somehow we don't find it difficult to accept that a dog will never work out a value for Pi or compose a sonnet.
Yet we find it more difficult to accept the possibility that questions of divine being, ultimate existence, purpose and evil, may be beyond human understanding.
Why do we presume that the human mind is equipped to settle such matters one way or another?
You have something of a point, the issue, however, is that there are many people claim to have answers to the questions of divine being, ultimate existence, purpose, and evil. So human reasoning can and should be used to discount the teachings of one who was/is almost certainly either a charlatan or a delusional person.
I'm not saying one needs to convince every theist that they are wrong, but if a religious person tries to debate me I certainly won't hesitate to rip apart their flimsy arguments.
