Don't eat eggs very often, but when I do I like them poached, over light, coddled, or Eggs Benedict.
All of these recipes have me thinking about eggs.....gotta go find a chicken.

WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL BE THE LATEST NEW LIGHT?
by minimus insince the lite gets brighter and brighter and jehovah always reveals his confidential matters to his servants, what new light will we next learn?
-
RedhorseWoman
Yes, I think that the new light this time might be from a two-way bulb.....consisting of the ban on blood transfusions and the GB being made up of non-anointed brothers (of course, no new light EVER will include sisters gaining any power or respect in the organization).
Additionally, I think that most JWs will simply roll over and accept this new light without a whimper and will deny that anything was ever any different.

west nile at my house
by not interested injsut a note to any horse owners:.
yesterday my neighbor's horse came down with west nile, he had just given the vaccine a week ago, at the same time as i vaccinated my horses, the local vets were saying that it wouldnt be a problem here untill next year and now there are 75 horses that have come down with it,.
so if you have horses and havent vaccinated them for west nile please do it, it is so sad to see the effects take over a strong, healthy, young, horse.. what has me worried is that with my l\uck im going to be the first person localy to get it.

Hopefully, cool weather will get here soon and kill off the mosquitoes. We had our horses vaccinated this past Spring....before mosquito season.
Just remember, the vaccine isn't totally effective until they get the booster shot a month after the first shot.
You might want to get some Hilton Herbs Equimmune mix to help build up their immune systems. If a horse is healthy, they can sometimes fight it off even if they get infected.

My Disfellowshipping
by silentlambs inmy disfellowshipping
as with anyone associated with jehovahs witnesses the worst possible news anyone can have is being df.
it means a loss of everyone and everything you have known all your life.

Bill.....thank you for all you've done. For the first time, the WTS is unable to continue in secrecy. The curtain is being pulled back, and the light of day is being let it. Thank you for opening the curtain.

I had been inactive for years, but still believing that the JWs were right, and still trying to get myself reactivated.
Finally, my husband and I were well on our way back to dubdum, when he began asking WAY too many questions of the elders studying with us because he had gotten baptized without really understanding the implications (he wanted to date me, and he knew I wouldn't go out with him unless he was baptized). He really wanted to understand totally and make a definite commitment.
The elders interpreted this as trying to cause trouble, and they began looking for some way to get rid of him. They noticed an empty ashtray on the coffee table and asked my husband if he was smoking, to which he replied in the affirmative.
They gave him 30 days to quit or be disfellowshipped. When he couldn't meet the deadline, he was called to a JC. This was also the turning point for me, since during this whole process, the elders engaged in much hypocrisy and told many lies.
After they pronounced my husband disfellowshipped, I was discussing the matter with one of the elders in the parking lot of the Kingdom Hall. Without even batting an eye, he contradicted himself several times, and told several outright lies in the space of a few minutes.
At that point, I could finally see the truth behind the "truth", and I never went back.

Locating Their Achilles Heel
by metatron inevidence is growing that the society now recognizes the grave.
danger of holding on to the blood doctrine and is quickly trying.
to 'fade it to black'.. it is likely that most witnesses will passively go along with this.
-
RedhorseWoman
On Beliefnet, I asked a question about how the active JWs there would feel if (or when) the blood doctrine was phased out. I also asked questions about why the Society has removed the doctrine from the new Knowledge book (what is the new title, anyway?), why no new "blood cards", why the pre-approval of Hemopure?
The only answer I got back from one vocal JW was that he agreed with the GB and would stand behind them.
No thought whatsoever to the thousands who have died because of lack of blood transfusions, no thought to the myriad arguments defending the blood ban as a command from God, no thought at all.....just passive, bovine acceptance.
I know that the pocketbook issue is a weak point. If enough people sue the WTS over the damage they have done through their policies, there will definitely be repercussions in Brooklyn.
What may be the more likely scenario, however, is that the WTS will metamorphose into a plain vanilla Protestant sect and meld with the rest of Christendom.

homage to Waiting
by teejay incomf, my friend,.
by mentioning the number of replies to the threads md has started, all i was saying is that, possibly, we don't want to read shit from somebody that spouts venom at people.
i dunno, but that is what i was thinking.

RedhorseWoman
Okay, back to Waiting. She owes me a Krispy Kreme. She insults my mounting block. She insults me.....well, not so much lately because she gets involved with "quality" threads, and I've had very little time to post here. She is funny, and intelligent, and quick to offer support when needed.
I have known her since the first day she posted here. I liked her then, and I like her now. She is a definite asset to this board, and I'm proud to have made her acquaintance.

Sheila Bowen's Letter To the GB!
by Ranchette ini knocked on the locked door of the appeal hearing last night after they had dismissed bill and told the six elders that i had something to say to them and told them it was summed up it a letter i had written.i then asked them if i could read it to them and they could have their own copy when i was finished.they said that would be fine.. here it is.

Sheila, you showed much courage and forthrightness by writing that letter. I find it disheartening to hear, however, that the elders were more concerned with the exact meaning of your last sentence rather than the truths presented in the body of your letter.
Are they so tied up in rules and regulations that their only concern was whether or not you wished to formally disassociate yourself? I cannot understand how these people can continue to be so blind to what this corrupt organization is doing to its members.
You are Bill are truly beacons on a dark sea.
