Me, too! Me, too! I'm just inactive. Okay, so it's been 15 years, but I'm still just inactive. There's hope for me....oh, yes, there is. WOOHOO!!!
Just one problem I can see. It's just that I like the house I'm living in now, but a couple of years ago I found a Watchtower hidden in a very out-of-the-way spot on my front porch. I assumed it was put there by the JW who was claiming my house as a post-Armageddon trophy.
The problem is....who gets the house? Or do I have to share it with some braindead moron for the rest of eternity?

(sigh) You non-horsey people! The saddle caddy is lovely....for hauling the saddle TO the horse. You still need the mounting block to haul the middle-aged butt up on the horse into the saddle.

when i first checked out this board i also thought it was a board for active witnesses.

the more i read, the more i realized that it was pretty much a x-jw board--more to my liking.

i disassociated myself in december of '98.

But, Waiting....it's green, and it has traction ribs on the steps. It's all I could get....they don't make them in any other material.

Interesting points concerning the sprinter vs the endurance runner. Someone on Witnet was posting these exact same thoughts. They also mentioned that the ministry work has been set up with a "sprint" in mind and that now that it is known that this is to be a long-haul endurance thing, perhaps changes should be made so that JW's can have somewhat of a life. This correlates to the mainstreaming of JW's in the near future. Pretty soon they'll be sponsoring KH rummage sales. LOL

This is the same type of doublespeak that has been evident in WT articles for years. The intent, I am sure, is once again to convince worldly people to question what they've been told if it doesn't fit with what the JW's are telling them.
Once firmly entrenched in the BOrg, everyone is taught that the FDS gets their information from the Holy Spirit, and everything they say is firmly entrenched in Biblical principles....therefore, not to be questioned, since by questioning the "food" from the Slave, you are questioning God, himself. Of course, if a mistake is made, it is because the FDS are imperfect and they couldn't discern exactly what the Holy Spirit meant....after all, they're getting old....the eyesight isn't as good....the hearing is a little fuzzy....and the Holy Spirit speaks softly.....the FDS is bound to mess things up now and then. This doesn't mean that anyone should "run ahead of Jehovah" by indulging in "independent thinking" and thereby "grieve the Holy Spirit".
No, I don't think that any JW will take it as an approved option to question what the FDS says.
