jehovah's witnesses to hand over top secret manual.

They write things in their personal elders books that are not printed. They are told to write these more stringent rules when they go to their elders conventions. You know the manual they handed over isn't one that had writing in it. -

POLL: Will You Be Attending The Memorial & If You Are---Why?
by minimus ini was just invited.
i thanked my old elder friend and he left.
(i'm not going).

Nope, but I do partake monthly at my church and even sometimes give communion to some of the elderly who can't make it because they are stuck at home. <3 there is absolutely nothing to miss by missing the witness memorial. It's an empty, awkward ceremony based on a bizarre interpretation of scripture. -

Yeah, and never change your mind and decide you should not have joined, because if you do change your mind, you will lose all your family and anyone you have ever been allowed to associate with.
Wow what a loving 'arrangement' that would be!!! Should we write that as a warning when people register here?? Or just catch them unawares?
oh, wait.., we're not a cult.

Yes do come back in a couple of years. Even if it's to tell us you are as strong a witness as ever. Good luck in life, I mean erm, may it go well with you.

Don't go to jw's, that's for sure. Don't worry about hełł either.
I found God in the New Testament book of John, but please take your time. You shouldn't feel anxiety about this. You have all the time in the world, and if you decide you don't know what to believe in, that's ok too. You are very blessed to have such supportive parents!! Relish that. Very few of us were in that situation.

For all still in.... fakers. Help.
by Sofia Lose inam i alone in this feeling?
i wish i could muster the cojones needed to tell my husband "i want a divorce, move away, not be a jw anymore!".
i find myself screaming these same words over and loud inside my mind, several times a day, and yet on the outside my actions could not be more opposed to these inner feelings.. sometimes i worry that this internal conflict will cause me to go crazy.

Keep working on your husband. And be patient. If you still love him.
Yep, some days of faking it are much worse than others. I'm sorry you are going through this now. I remember it. It's hell!!

Is disfellowshipping as popular as it was years ago?
by minimus ini seldom hear of people getting df'd anymore.
years ago it seemed there were a few per year in a congregation.

I know of a few people who were df'd in my old hall since I left (in recent years). Two for having affairs, another for being gay, one for fornication. These are just the ones I happen to know about, and im way out of the loop. I'm sure there were more. -

by rathernotsay inhey people, .
i am soon going into a kh for the first time and i could use some advice around etiquette etc.
i know next to nothing besides the fundamental beliefs of jws, i personally dont believe in any religion, and that stance isnt ever going to change, however i don't want to come across as rude or disrespectful.

RTs, if you do go, point out all the weird stuff you see to your wife. Try to wake her up by what you observe with your own eyes, and that it's so much stranger than you imagined. This will at least let her know she cant be hopeful you're going to 'progress,' and might make her look at things with new eyes. -

Morpheus, you can feel so despondent and uncertain that you do not know what you are possibly going to do to get out of a situation. Before I was ever even arguing with my husband about witness issues, I was contemplating divorce, because I couldn't see how we could be happy in a divided family, and I thought I might run away and eventually try to get the kids. I was in a very bad and uncertain place. I think that's where Sofia is now. But she says her husband is a very good guy, as is, ultimately, mine. And I'm really glad I didn't do anything rash and harmful and the family is intact. And I'm really, really glad my husband followed me. -

Sofia I feel for you!!! You feel like it's high time you started living the way you want to. Life is too short. :(
i hate this religion that divides families like this.
...he might not lose his privileges if you leave the religion and stay with him. I don't think he will. He will however be ashamed of sorts and feel like he has failed as a spiritual head.
