JW message becoming more and more relevant
by lsw1961 inmans requirements are limited which can be satisfied with a little and tension-free endeavor..
however man attempts not only to collect but also to grab and amass everything to the excess.
somehow he feels that he can be happy only when he has in abundance whereas others have nothingwhich seems to be the thread that runs throughout the history.

John there is so much evidence of the species crossed out in your illustration. Almost all of us carry Neanderthal DNA. -

There were so many times when I thought 'ok, this is where outlaw should post the perfect picture!' -

My first post
by thewalker inhi, i just joined the board and wanted to present myself.. i'm active, in fact very active in congregation activities serving "where the need is great" in a foreign language congregation somewhere in western europe.
as a young brother, i'm seen as an example as i'm doing all a good witness should do.. i had doubts years ago but i decided just to ignore them and move to another congregation to preach more.
that worked for some years but i'm now at the exact same point.

Wasanelder...I like your cancerous growth analogy, as opposed to cutting off a limb.
Also it's sort of like cutting off a large parasite that sucks you dry of life. You cut it off and it hurts, there's an open wound...but eventually you will heal and find more strength and energy than you thought you had!!

Who would you vote for Today?
by James Mixon ind. trump or h. clinton and why.. i would vote for gun slinging trump..

Sanders for me too. Tho I've been impressed with Hillary at the debates. But any ideas that she would make politics less polarized is a pipe dream. It sort of started with her and Newt Gingrich.
Trump is a freaking clown. Fun to watch but you do NOT want that guys finger on the red button.

A hearty welcome to you, walker. There were no errors in your English. Consider a career as an English professor?
I second Ding's advice to read the New Testament with your own eyes.
You don't have an easy road in front of you. Especially with friends and family all in. Definitely start making connections with those on the outside. This journey is worth it. There is NOTHING like freedom to live your own life as you feel is right.

Hypothetical Question...
by JW_Rogue ini was just thinking that the org has said lots of outrageous things over it's history and most jws just continue onward without a second thought.
so my question is what do you think would have to be said from the platform or wt to get people to get up and walk out immediately?
is it even possible?

I was just thinking, if witnesses were required to wear special underwear the way the Mormons do...so many of them would feel soooo SPECIAL!! So CHOSEN! So pure, so true!! -

Saddest thing about being DFd
by kairos ini always enjoyed being kind.
when someone genuinely needed a hand or what not, it felt good to help family or friends.. i don't really miss them anymore.
i faded over two years ago, so they long ago shunned me.i think about them less and less and have even forgotten some names.i did enjoy some of the friendships and the association.

If witnesses could count time 'showing love' then they might actually do it.
i used to enjoy helping witnesses in need, too. One I gave $300 to, didn't want anything back, just wanted to help her little unemployed family. She was very grateful, but was the first one to unfriend me on facebook when rumors about me leaving the religion started to go around. TRUE friendship, lol!
