I've been found out!
by pale.emperor inwell, thats it folks.. my identity on here has been rumbled and reported to the elders.
someone, somehow, has figured out that im a member of this site and - rather than speak to me - has promptly reported me to the elders.
i just feel sad for my daughter.

My wife blew my mind, Seth Andrews, and more....
by pronomono inso i recently had the opportunity to hear seth andrews speak in person at a local unitarian universalist church.
for those of you who know my past, i've had a bit of a difficult time dealing with the emotional aspects of a fade with a wife that says she believes but doesn't put forth the works that demonstrate that faith.
we've kind of been in a rocky point in our relationship because we've both been afraid to test the waters on where each of us stand.

I get goosebumps every time I read on here that someone is having success getting through to their spouse or child. "Bring it."?? I love her!!

It sounds like it might be too late, like you have already admitted it was you. Do you know how they found out? That's kind of creepy.
Sometimes ripping off the bandaid makes the pain shorter than tearing it off slowly. I wish you luck, PE. (And you haven't been disgusting!!)

My life has ended (be careful what you wish for part 2)
by nevaagain innoone and nothing can really prepare you for the burning pain you feel when your spouse leaves you after 8 years of marriage.
from one day to another, all your dreams, hopes and plans are shattered.. i still have so many questions which will remain unanswered in eternity.. the thread i made a few weeks ago, is part of this story.
after learning about ttatt my plans involved to wake up my wife as well and exit the truth.

Do you know how many women are longing for a loyal honest and sweet man like you? Dude. You do have to let yourself time to mourn this but you have the wonderful opportunity to start over! This time not with a witness.

Should I just tell my parents
by BlackWolf inlately i've been feeling just so fed up with this stupid religion i really can't take it anymore!
i'm starting to think that maybe i should just tell my parents how i really feel.
if they treat me too badly or kick me out i could probably stay with my non jw aunt.. ive just reached my breaking point, i don't really care what people think of me anymore.

Call your aunt now and tell her what is going on. Keep her in the loop with everything that happens in your life. See if she is ready to take you in. Have you gotten a part time job yet? Are you driving? And yes get in a real highschool!! Are you allowed to make this decision on your own? If you live at your aunt's, you could join drama, clubs, go to prom. But you also lose your parents. Makes me so angry and sad.
It's always Satan Satan Satan! It can't be that they're in a freaking cult, can it?

Talk with your non JW aunt and make sure you are on the same page, just in case.
I don't know if you should tell your parents. Please think about it some more. But the first thing you should do is make SURE you have somewhere to go if the worst happens.
I am so sorry for both you and your parents, who are subject to a terrible organization telling them how to think and how to feel, that only cares about its own power, no matter what it does to families.

No Reason For JWs To Go To The MIdweek Meeting (CLAM)
by JW_Rogue ineverything that is done at the midweek meeting can now be done at home.
the videos are online, the first talk is scripted, the bible highlights are scripted.
you could get the same experience by just reading and watching the material from your tablet.

Moly, I like that song analogy. I do hope it gets better for you and you find a way out. The WTBTS is, after all, a bit like Donald Trump, self destructing by its own behavior and attitudes...so there's hope.

Welcome y'all from JWR - any questions?
by Simon ini just wanted to take a minute to say "hi" and welcome to the site for anyone who's come here from jwr.
i can imagine the site being shut down suddenly was shocking and unsettling for many who relied on it and sometimes you don't realize how much you do rely on something until it is gone.. hopefully you'll see some of the same familiar names appearing and be able to reconnect with people you knew via this site and continue your journey together.
i don't know what the posting policies on jwr were but know it as a moderated site so can't imagine them being hugely different to the ones here.

Introduction - Any Believers?
by Believer ini’ve been reading it for a few of years off and on, but have been a little too ... maybe ... timid to join.
i left the watchtower organization almost 20 years ago but never abandoned my faith and belief in god.
i knew the gb/organization didn’t represent god, so when i lost my faith in them, i managed to keep my faith in an all wise benevolent creator.

I am a liberal Christian evolutionist church goer. I believe, because waking from the witness daze, I fell for Christ.

I think as long as we have close family in the cult, whom we love and miss, we need sites like this one. It saddens me that a site similar has fallen. But welcome to you and everyone else coming over. You are among friends here :).
