Hi Everyone. Answer to prayer countdown...
by Stumpy ini've been lurking for about 3 months now and thought i'd better finally sign up.
you have all been an immense help to me as i have come to realize that this isn't the truth so i want to say a great big thank you!
what a crazy, emotional ride it is to finally face the truth about the doubts that i have carried for many years.

It would be so 'normal' if we could just say 'sorry, I don't believe this anymore' and leave. Unfortunately this is not a normal religion, it's a cult. -

Steve I wasn't clear but I was thinking more of the cynical preteen/teen type than the adult witness who thinks they're so cute.
I always said, the should make picture books about bible stories....instead of just one picture per story like the yellow one. But I never, ever would have thought they would do THIS.
i love veggie tales but this is disgusting. I guess because it has a disgusting manipulative self serving message behind it.

Question for atheists and nonbelievers
by pressman ini profess to teach the truth to you all and get you to all to think and believe.
believing in christ through his words and not through evil religious cults, like hoj and jw, can and will save you.
do you all realize that every time you are victorious and receive something of value through your hard work and sweat, it was our holy god who blessed you.

Pressman I found your post annoying, and I'm christian. 'I profess to teach', 'I want you all to know' etc, you do come across as very arrogant, one who sees themselves as somethin' pretty dang special. And you should know that this stuff never converts atheists. -

How many here gave up having a family for the sake of the "truth"?
by stuckinarut2 inthis is a sensitive topic for many of us i know, but i am wondering how many here actually gave up the idea of having a family "in this system" for the sake of "kingdom activity or service"??.
start the count here with my wife and i.

Well, I guess even though worldly people are getting more educated and resistant to indoctrination, they are getting new converts somehow!
When we had children two years apart, a cool elder used to tease us 'that's not what was meant by 'go therefore and make disciples!!''

People who a couple of decades ago waited to have children were probably thinking about the limits of the "generation" and thinking it wouldn't be long until they were in the new system and having kids. With that "generation" becoming more obfuscatory, i wonder if more are having kids now?
