Does anyone know where I can download or view the news programs that have already aired in english-speaking languages? I have only seen the one custody-battle news story 60 minutes did, and I am am very interested in finding the others...if someone could lead me in the right direction?

JWbot - hehehehe...me too! I LOVE Mortal Combat. I remember when the witnesses lectured us about that game because of the mortalities and blood. What's your fav game?
When I was starting to play them (late middle school), I played Doom, then Duke Nukem and Quake. At that time, they finally caught on about the evils of red pixels and quoting how bad Doom was had become all the rage. They were still talking about the evils of Doom when I had moved on to Diablo a couple years later. I hated that, if they are going to go on about how evil a computer game is, they might as well actually keep up with what computer games kids were actually playing. Doom was so old by that time. haha!
I never played console games, computers were just my thing. When I was *really* young, I did play Mortal Combat with my "worldly" cousin who had a Nintendo (I think). It certainly didn't force me into jumping people in the city and cutting their heads off. hehe

Somewhat, now I do the things I wanted to do, but couldn't.
I listen to the music I want, I read the books I want, about philosophy and religion too. I also can socialize, that has been the hardest for me, since I grew up not being allowed to, and could only get away when I was 18. I can go to clubs, bars, I learned to dance all sexily... I also have piercings, a tattoo (*gasp!*), have a wonderful boyfriend but I still enjoy a social life. I am getting my education, 3 years down, 5 more to go.... I watch a lot of movies, go every weekend, I also play all them "evil" video games.
I am not exactly "making up" for lost time, I am doing everything in the amount I would do anyway, but now, I don't have parents around to lock me in the house. So I am not overdoing it by any means. Just finally being a regular person.

Not stupid, nieve is a better word. Some classmates of mine who were witnesses were very studious, got great grades and offers from colleges they would turn down so that they could have their talents wasted cleaning toilets at Bethel. They deserved college more than I did.
My sister who is just so completely brainwashed (disfellowshipped and AS QUICK AS SHE COULD REPENTED and told me she was worthless, how sad is that?) graduated high school at age 16. She went to a 2 year community college because witnesses were discouraged from going to 4 year colleges, for office work. She is this smart woman, training to be a secretary. Its not right. No offense against secrataries, but she didn't want to be one, she just thought that thats all she could go to college for. She is a talented writer. *sigh*

at what age would a person have to be to join the witnesses and not suffer too much?.
if they are children, it robs their youth.. if they join in the teens, they won't get a decent education.. if they join at 20 years old, they will have to marry a witness.. if they join at 30, i guess that would be less destructive because they already are married, have children, have a house, an education and a job.. at what age did you join, and how did it affect you?
I was one of those lucky to be born into :(
Robbed my childhood and my teenage years but I snuck out a lot anyway. The education policy changed a little and I was able to attend college with a lot of nagging and ridicule. Either way, I would have moved out and gone to college anyway, I am in that situation anyway.
I informed my mom that when I get my bachelors degree next year, I will attend another school for 4 more years for my Masters. hah. She was sorta happy for me, I dunno. I am happy, thats all that matters.

wearing trendy clothes, long skirts with slits, skirts that showed my immoral knees, tight shirts, baggy shirts, my jewelery, I was told more than 2 earings in one ear is bad, anklets, violent video games, too much internet and computer time (er...I was studying comp. sci?), flirting, being depressed, be submissive!, I was too opinionated, I was too opinionated towards MEN, going to college, not getting baptised, dating "wordly" guys, holding hands with a girl friend of mine, hanging around guys too much, being too 'funny' and 'weird', I needed to "calm down", I needed to "trust in god" because I asked to many questions that never got answered, oh and so much more.
