Nic, all the miracles in the Bible are impossible from a scientific point of view. This is why they are called miracles, duh.
Raising people from the dead, walking on water, turning water into wine. Scientifically impossible, otherwise they wouldn’t be called miracles.
Im agnostic so won’t commit to if the universe started by chance or by design. If it was by design then the designer could easily make miracles happen but anyway this is off the point of this thread.
the point of this thread is - are there any examples of Bible writers knowing things that humans could not have known at the time?
JWs use many examples like the shape of the earth, DNA ie you saw even the embryo of me, in your book it many parts were down in writing
and bacterial hygiene the Israelites had to burry the excrement outside the camp. At a time when humans didn’t know about bacteria and infection.
but all these things are subjective not conclusive. These could have been men writing and got lucky with their guesses.
JWs say how could they know about the earth being a circle hanging on nothing? But this is exactly what humans thought at the time, they thought it was a flat circle hanging on nothing

we are not talking about if the miracles were possible of course they are impossible. Again that’s why they are miracles.
what we are talking about here from a scientific point of view is it true what the JWs say that Bible writers wrote about things that humans couldn’t have known about if not inspired by God.
the examples used by JWs is flat earth, DNA and bacteria
but all these points could be argued about

Road to nowhere yes this happened a lot in Bethel. I remember hearing how some houses had married couples and single brother sharing kitchens and bathrooms
things like single brothers noticing the sisters in underwear or with just a towel. These sisters were not getting something they needed which is why these ‘accidents’ kept happening

Well if you are a Believer in JW doctrine humans only been around for 6000 years. The flood was 4600 years ago and before that they lived for several hundred years. So if you believe that then they would have been very very advanced after say 700 years of experience on earth.
Im not sure what I believe anymore, JW could be correct in believing what the Bible says but plenty of people put up a good case that humans were on the earth longer than 6000yrs.
there is no absolute hard proof either way.
Just the same there is no absolute proof the Bible is not just another book written by men who believed the earth was a flat circle with nothing under the North Pole.
that is exactly what that verse in Job says the northern sky has empty space under it. Well this is fundamentally not true it’s the South Pole that has empty space underneath it

The Borg use that verse in Job to show that the Bible must have been divine because nobody knew the earth was a sphere back then.
but they said circle not sphere and they thought there was nothing under the North Pole it was empty space according to Bible writers when in fact the earth in under the North Pole and it’s the South Pole that has empty space under it
