Journeyman- yes I agree it's a little too late to the game. I see in these other churches they try to create a social scene, or an environment, for it youth. Watchtower had said not our responsibility, but step out of line and we'll shun you got it.
In the series everyone else burns the coordinater of the body of elders son is shunned but then gets called on by a young sister in the cong. He invites her in and pretends to be interested. They get close and he throws a surprise birthday party for her.
The Borg are desperate that’s why they Keep on lowering age for things. You can be an elder at 20 and a CO at 23 for heaven’s sake.
they need to do something more than this to stop the bleeding of young people.
it’s hilarious thinking about elders meetings where the body spends 45 mins talking about something so trivial. When the stuff the young people are really getting upto is totally unknown to the elders.
this is really shown so well in the TV show everyone else burns. One teenage girl talks about all the normal teenage stuff the young ones get upto, kissing feeling each other up and far more in some cases.
the elders have absolutely no idea what goes on.
they talk about the trivial stuff they know about and have local needs about it thinking it’s serious and that’s so much better now we had a local needs.
meanwhile the young sisters are giving handjobs to the young brothers just as she says in everyone else burns.
I swear the writers are ex JWs and had a lot of experience what really goes on in the congregations
