No more judicial committee if maybe suicidal
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inthe new direction in the new elders book is very clear.
absolutely no jd if there is a suspicion of suicidal thoughts.. this is obviously due to the high number of suicidal attempts after the announcement that someone is no longer a jw and the shunning that accompanied it.. so what will happen now going forward if situations arise where there would formerly have been a jd and they say there is suicidal thoughts?.
i can’t see it working, but elders stick rigidly to what it says in the book.

I am an Elder still, even though I’m PIMA I love the Bible and studying the deeper things in there.
I did used to be in London Bethel until the big lay offs began.
I still have many friends in Bethel and go there every opportunity I can.
Sometimes an older one needs to go back to Bethel I volunteer to take her, I love going there and seeing everyone

Physically in mentally agnostic ie sitting on the fence
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inhi everyone i’m not pimi or pimo i’m pima.. i don’t think the gb have everything right but i’m sitting on the fence that maybe they do some things.. if the great trib starts i will jump that side of the fence.. this is a definite little sneaky advantage dodging but even by their own doctrine last min some could come in.. i suspect many are like me.. i spent years in bethel and am very disappointed and disillusioned by it all.. but at the end of the day i love the bible and think it is the word of god and i don’t see any other religion that comes as close to what jesus describes his true followers or who are fulfilling mat 24:14..

This new change that if suspected suicidal thoughts then no JD is actually very comforting for those of us who whose to stay physically in.
Im mentally agnostic about if the universe had intelligent design involved but I’m not agnostic about if the governing body are who they say they are. I’m absolutely certain they are not.
Therefore all JW doctrine doesn’t hold any weight in my book.
The Bible however is of great interest to me. If it’s divinely inspired or not I don’t know but I love studying it with my local congregation.
I love hearing from different members who go deep
into each weeks Bible reading and we often talk as if we doubt certain parts or we are trying to get to the bottom of something that doesn’t make sense
many times we just leave it that we can’t find the answers, to me this points towards that it’s not divine but others may think we just don’t know yet

This is the reason why this Borg has to be disbanded and shut down.
“It will be, soon.”
-
With all due respect that has been said many many timesover the last several decades and will be said by many more long after we are all dead.
I don’t think it will be shut down. Just as many even more crazy cults are still going for even longer.
I can see another new generation of top dogs doing away with 1914 and brining about a lot of changes over the next few decades.
I’m remaining PIMA eating popcorn and watching the show. Especially now there will be hardly any JDs or shunning from now on as long as they know about the suicidal loophole.
But I’m definitely not going to follow direction from the Jab pushing governing body

Easyprompt says “Tony Morris answered his cellphone when I called him last month”
During the pandemic we were told to write and phone to people who didn’t know who we were.
And of course knock on doors😁
going by the same thing, could there be attempts to call him if easy will post his number here.
everyone has his address so why not write to him, and if you can call round just as JWs have been doing for over 140 years

When you say you called Tony Morris last month I find this extremely interesting
You do know about Tony don’t you? And yet you claim you can just call him on his phone anytime you want.
Could you please call him again and record the conversation, ask what is really going on

The point is this has been a massive change.
This latest new change in the Elders book a few weeks ago has been one of the largest changes in recent history.
As long as everyone knows about the change then there should be no more JCs and no more shunning.
To a certain extent everyone may feel suicidal if they have a JC and face the possibility of shunning from everyone they know.
Every single case no matter what could say they would be suicidal if they had a JC and were going to be shunned.

Easyprompt I am an experienced elder, I have been in Bethel for many years and I suspect I know far more than you. As my name suggests I’m now out of Bethel but I go back there all the time. I was there at Chelmsford again recently.
Can I ask you what makes you think you know so much? Have you only recently been out or has it been a long time?
Can you tell me any Bethel Elders you know of on the service desk or on the Branch committee?
You sound like you do know some higher ups please tell me their names because I probably worked with them for years

So pretending to be suicidal could be an out for somw....but who is going to tell them? And on the other hand, some may not become suicidal until after the JC and being kicked out or otherwise made feel worthless
-
100% correct. Part of the big changes these days is individual Elders realising they may be cast out to the dogs, the Borg will distance themselves and are quite happy to have individual Elders as fall guys.
The new Elders book latest update in last few weeks says if suicidal then no JD should take place. This is like the small print get out clause to protect the corporation and throw the individual Elder under the bus.
problem for the Borg is individual Elders are also waking up and don’t want to be thrown under the bus. No Elder on the body wants to take responsibility and claim the sinner is not suicidal and then the person attempts suicide.
The Borg will claim they didn’t follow the direction and went beyond what is written.
No Elder wants to take that weight on, they will always say “I can’t say or certain that they are not suicidal so I can’t say for certain if we can have a JD”

Yes it’s kind of always been the case but It’s got even stronger and made more clear recently.
It used to be that the JC was kind of formed but then was held off until the sinner was no longer suicidal. The change now is that the JC will not even be formed or go ahead in any way until the elder body is absolutely certain the sinner is not in any way suicidal. Who on earth would take responsibility for that claim?
how can the elders ever find out that they said they were suicidal when they were not really? There is no way someone could accuse another of that, it’s treading on very thin ice.
many times a suicidal attempt is just a cry for help or indeed to prove someone else wrong who said they are not really suicidal
