zoom service, what are your observations/opinions of it?.
Zoom has been great at getting to know others in far flung congregation’s
I think the org wishes they hadn’t opened that can of worms
some folks are invited to join other groups someone who knows someone
I have joined zoom ministry groups of a friend of a friend it’s like a big party
nobody actually writes letters that is just a front for chatting to people all over the world
The guy walking on the beach had a beard but I don’t think anyone would notice
i had a conversation about this 22 carat gold contradiction with a couple of zealous jw's a couple of days ago.. even their personal "explanations" contradicted each other as they tried justify their cognitive dissonance!.

correction, there is no such thing as a bethel family, bethel hotel, yes, there always been bethelites coming and going.
We should all sarcastically say to all JWs we ever meet “Jehovah was so good giving clear direction to be fully vaccinated. Don’t listen to all these conspiracy theories from Satan that the vaccine is not safe and effective. Jehovah knows it is safe and effective and don’t listen to Satan’s world saying tens of millions of people are dying from blood clots and other vaccine related deaths. That just can’t be true because the direction from Jehovah is still to keep taking these vaccines”
until the direction changes all JWs have been taught to follow direction and keep taking these boosters

@ ExBethelite & DJW - Just to be clear, are you saying that during the millenium some people will practice evil deeds, (the act of doing something regularly or repeatedly) or they won't?

Im agnostic so I don’t know.
But I’m saying there is no contradiction in JW doctrine. They are saying those that practice vile things in the old world will not be tolerated in the new world. They have a choice so if they choose to practice vile things then they will be destroyed. Simple as that.
how far they get practicing vile things before they get destroyed?
a sister said the other day at the ministry group “”what is all this talk that the end is still some way off” she said she has been waiting for decades and she was told there is no way it would take this long.
some others said in an annoyed kind of way yes they would have made different decisions decades ago if they knew the end still would not have come by 2023.. how will the majority react in a few more decades time when the end still hasn’t come?.
why all that talk of sense of urgency decades ago?.
I wonder how many are physically in but mentally at least doubting the GB or like me full blown thinking the GB are wrong about lots of things?
but like me they enjoy being physically in and can see how being physically in has many advantages and it’s very pleasant to see how people clean up their lives and avoid all kinds of problems by being physically in
I suspect there will be many more people like me who are physically staying in for the advantages but mentally not getting too invested because they are doubting the GB

We all know that scripture can be twisted and interpreted in many different ways
its very easy to critique anyones interpretation of the 1000 years talked about in the Bible but what you you think is the correct interpretation? That’s the hard part.

ExBethelite, what scriptural grounds do they have for these assertions, the first assertion is indeed supported by Christian writings, the second assertion not by the canonical biblical text, since the idea of a 1000 year ‘in-between’ purgatory-style earth or reincarnation is not in the Bible.
Thus if you ask to justify, it does indeed become contradictory to the biblical texts. Yes, you can make excuses for it, but you can’t assert biblical sourcing, redemption through faith is the core of Christianity and a resurrection to incorruptible state is asserted by Paul (1 Cor 15) and various other verses.
The JWs assert a 1000 year temporary reincarnation based on misinterpretation of a single scripture in Revelation and off course Wisdom of Solomon, Sirach and a few other Judaic and early Christian apocrypha and commentaries which Russell and Rutherford were quite fond of plagiarizing for their interpretation.

“19 states categorically that the evil deeds will be practiced in the new world.
Paragraph 14 states categorically that evil deeds will not be practiced in the new world.”
It’s obvious that those who practice vile things in the old world have a choice
if they no longer practice vile things they can live forever
if they choose otherwise they will be killed
getting down to the nitty gritty will the vile things actually be practiced in the new world? We don’t really know, we just know that they will not be permitted!
maybe the teaching is as soon as they start to practice vile things they will immediately be destroyed
that’s the teaching anyway
there is no contradiction
it’s these cheap shots that give apostates a bad rep
