  • Just quickly assuming they have one billion in banks collecting interest that would be roughly 52million a year they gain in interest alone.
    Wild stretch here , but perhaps not. President Eisenhower was worth billions and grew up a Jehovahs witness and I think had a JW burial. I wonder where he willed some of his money ....hummm.......

  A very big media frenzied scandal of members of the governing body themselves being pedophiles 'gay wouldn't even cut it' along with footage. Or a member of the GB becoming an American president. Something so public so global and on every news station for a several years solid.

  OR Website goes down for many many months. Website getting banned globally?

  Smart Phones and Tablets Turning JW's Into Dummies

  look up the article in the wall st journal "how smartphones hijack our minds".

  a flood of evidence has come in that people are outsourcing their thinking to their electronic devices.

  when you feel you will always be able to look up important information on your cell phone you simply don't remember it.

  alanv-The main change in recent years in JW land is for members to stop trying to defend their faith by themselves, but rather to point people to the jw website.

  I remember when this type of thing would be cause for someone to be 'spiritually weak'. Now its the norm.So easy to search your spiritual 'symptom' - 'question' into the search bar on the site and get an answer that "tickles the ears".

  The absolute sheer irony. And quite the flip.

  Smartphones have already changed the world we live in. jw,jew,movie star, politics, kids, teens, colleges, lawyers, ect ect ect......

  It has been and continues to be an unstoppable force. The GB simply had to no choice but to modify to fit in with the new technology. Seems they've always liked to stay on the fringes of modern with out being "modern". This was/is to big a global shift.

  I guess in paradise selfies will be real popular as everyone grows younger "New videos on jworg about this and that one growing younger". "Submit your 'growing younger' process to jworg and be featured in the '1000 year Reign Times". LOL" Brother Smith grows half his leg back in two months, Stay tuned to see next months article on Sister Davis as the last of her multiple personalities merge into one." LOL

  OK what is the deal with Smurfs?

  i heard the crap, smurfs were magical evil creatures.

  i saw in the 80s kids parents get talked to because of the kids having one or pjs with smurfs on them but other than the urban meme where did this come from?

  was there anything printed about it?

  Wild_thing -My other friends in congregation were not so lucky. Several of them were forced to get rid of every trace of Smurf toys in their house. After stories circulated about Smurfs walking in to Kingdom Halls, and one about a Smurf keychain standing up and talking, one little kid in our congregation said his stuffed Smurf toy talked to her (or so the mother said). So, out the Smurf toy went, and the frenzy continued among the JW radicals.

  I was one of those in the not so lucky 'jw Smurf paranoiac radical frenzy' households. But literally everything was considered demonic. Thats so traumatizing to a child and confusing, the way it played out in some jw homes. Nothing short of psychotic.

  I had no toys. LOL.

  When my son was little I spoiled him and bought him tons and tons of toys . I probably went overboard. I wanted to be the cool jw parent back then.

  young ones try and be friends with older ones

  know before i say anything the title might make go like ''what?are you going to say that its bad for a younger person to be friends with a older one'' no not at all i think its a good thing that a kid should have at least one older person they are friends with.. now,i dont think young people should not try and talk to some one older than them or become friends like i said.but to me it seems more like a cover up for the watchtower because a lot of young people when they can most will likey want to get out and leave.now to me all the time when i see a congregation there are more older people than younger.young people mostly want to have a friends there age,but that's hard most family's say ''we dont want to have kids in this system.

  ''which leaves a low amount of kids in a congregation.. what i'm saying here is that not all congregations have 12,13,16,5,6 year old kids so kids that age dont have many friends to start out with.

  so i see the hole thing on making friends with older ones and you should be talking to older ones more as a cover up to that problem.. i might be wrong about this hole thing but i wanted to talk about,as some one who cant really have friends because there is no one my age i could really talk to..

  Personally I love talking with people older than me. Most all the friends Ive had were people older than me.

  Jw or not I think having older friends is good advice.

  I know having had younger friends I felt younger. lol

  Having older friends made me realize, they to, went through a lot of the same stuff I had.

  At the end of the day age is really a number. I have met 60 year olds that were as immature as a teen. (but not in a good way) I have met younger folks that were more mature than someone twice there age.

  Having older friends is not just a jw taught thing, its a human connection thing.

  Jws do mix basic psychology, with there teachings. Its one of the 'hooks' as they bundle it up with crap.

  Also I wanted to add that young people do need to have others around there age to chat with. But when you hit around 30+ that might change a bit.

  what if guide is blind?

  religious leaders who understand ‘one innocent man should be killed to atone the sins of others are in bondage to darkness, hence there is nothing good to be expected from them.
