  can i ask your views on taking children out on the ministry?

  .

  do you have any experiences you can share of things you as a child/your children/grandchildren have witnessed on the ministry that they shouldn't have?.

  No. I dont feel children should be out doing field service.

  Several experiences come to mind, heres one.

  I was about 10 years old and I was out with our local pioneer (an elders wife) (she was a really nice lady and I probably miss that family the most) anyway,... We were assigned a rural territory, old farming community. There was this older Italian lady that invited us in, it was just the sister and I. So the Italian lady starts to tell us how happy she is we are there. She also informs us that her son is in jail. For in her words 'F&%*ing the neighbors horse' ...'again'. She said he used to do it to their own sheep but then her son decided to use the neighbors horses. She had a very thick accent and she went on and on and in great detail. The jw pioneer sisters eyes were huge. I was on the verge of shock and laughter but managed to hold it in. Then the Italian lady says that she needs a prayer over her lawn mower , that it started on its own the day before. That was it , we were out of there. I still get a goofy look on my face when I think about it.

  I yelled at dubs today ( again )

  so i roll up to the job site and looky there, two uber pioneer dubs dragging themselves down the sidewalk.

  both ladies are in there early 60's and born in.. my heart started pumping, but i had to act.i was directly across the street from them.

  i walked right to the sidewalk and said in a very loud, but not mean voice: "you can't teach overlapping generations from the bible!!

  Kairos-I just kept telling them things until they packed up and left after two or three minutes.

  Yep, cowards.

  Id carry a recorder if you plan on this again. Wouldn't want them to turn around and report you.

  You know they can report stuff like that as stalking, but not pedophilia. yuck.

  They sure cannot handle anyone speaking but themselves.

  Might be a good idea to have some jwfacts printed out to carry around so you can claim that you too, are carrying a message.

  Ive seen jws comment on obituaries online or other news like the article. It is so weird to read them when they say something like ' Ecl 9:5 says 'the dead are conscience of nothing'. and quote some more bible verses out of context. You can almost feel the superior attitude jump off the page. Blame, guilt, and a pat on their own back for "enlightening" the entire comment section. Rarly a mention of empathy towards the person that died.

  its been a minute since posting, have been trying to put this cult in my review mirror and just live life.

  but you know this beast rears it's evil head.

  my wife found my crisis of conscience book and out came the horns plus i guess what she is hearing at the meetings isn't helping either.

  'Go bags' are a good thing although I personally call them 'If the fit hits the shan' bags.

  I had these for years and rotate them out on occasion. But unlike the jws its for safety preparedness , as much as I can be. Not for Armageddon.

  Besides when the aliens beam me up I want to offer them some of our earthly canned delights. LOL JK about the aliens.

  JWs using 'apostate' phraseology?

  i've mentioned before how a regular pioneer used the phrases "tight-pants tony" and "don't drink the kool-aid".

  well the other week, a different regular pioneer, and elderly one in fact, was talking about the simplified watchtower being discontinued and the normal one replacing it, and she said 'i guess they're just gonna dumb-down everything'.

  then too even the org itself used the words "fade" and "shun" in recent articles, words that were previously shied away from.. anybody here experienced something similar, a seeming pimi saying something that makes you wonder if they've been sneaking ex-jw 'spiritual food' on the side?.

  The simplified version was a real mistake for the jws. It was an insult not only to the 'householder' but the r&f regarded it as making it so simple that the "dumb worldly people" could even 'get it'.

  I believe that the simplified version would be seen as crumbs to the "oh so spiritually starving" hence the 'meaty stuff' the uber dubs use to feel more superior in their own minds. Imo

  Yes I have experienced something similar from a PIMI . As for sneaking 'Exjw spiritual food on the side', who can say?

  Ive heard the same 'murmurs' of literature being to simple. Ive also heard 'murmurs from single 'brother and sisters' that Jw.0rg has lot of material and articles for families and kids/teens specific, but not for anyone one else that doesn't fall in those categories and it make them feel left out. Umm....because they are.

  But the very next time I talked to said person and brought it up they denied ever saying it.(cognitive dissonance) This has happened a fair number of times in my experience.

  Also a pioneer jw had many times told me how long they'd pioneered and what they gave up and when they got ill and had to go to the hospital that no one was there for them , not a single jw called or visited. They were balling there eyes out ....then suddenly out of no where because they realized they just got vulnerable with an exjw they stopped and acted like everything was fine, like they were talking to the devil (me ) and the projecting started. Thats when its time for me to go. LOL. Because I call it out which triggers anger and more projection a long with a large dose of guilt stirred up in them trying to make it about me being a bad influence ( all from a 5 min of a conversation.) and I wasn't even the one who brought it up initially.

  When I was a little jdub and all the Christmas songs were playing everywhere I would sing 'Satan Claus is Coming to Town'. Aaaaaand I would get in trouble for it. lol. Sometimes I did it to piss uber dubs off.
