  A Fantasy I Have To Protest Cart Witnessing

  i am not a protester and i hate confrontation, but i have always thought it would be hilarious to set up a kool-aid stand right next to the jw carts and sell purple kool-aid.

  i wonder how many would get the joke?.

  I would be down to set up with someone else near them and satirically copy them( slight change in spelling/ meaning and pics). I would want "our cart" to mimic almost every thing verbatim except have funny, dry, satirical articles in what was in our cart. Pick an emotional topic like "why do we die?' . Inside the "The LightTower" and "Aware" it would address the topic on the front page in the articles with lots of quick easy to grasp scientific data (verified data) of how everything does die. Use the similar bible verses to show how "faithful" people have died with gods approval for 1000s of years. And in a funny, dry humor way, describe how our bodies being forced to stay perfect forever would be horrific. Fun with the names of 'Publications'... "What the bible can't and can teach us"...."An introduction to Gods word, Our way"...."When someone you love is sexually abused in the hall" (picturing an actual hallway) ... "Youths- What will you do with your life? McDonalds or Wendys"... "Lasting Peace and Cognitive Dissonance, How to find them? ..."My Book of Governing Body Storys"...."Examining the Governing Body- Daily"... Videos and movies- "Remember the Daughters of Lot" ... "Keep the Pace- by standing still at your cart"...

  I would want to dress in a suit. Be very calm and nice never acknowledging that the jws were there.

  And of course they'd come over when they see you because you'd look just like them...with a cart and very similar looking literature. Could make a loudish phone call if not , pretending to call my local 'elder' asking if I was sent to the wrong spot "as it seems other "Cart" members are here. Without ever going to talk/ nor engaging in talk, to them or making eye contact.

  That would freak their shit out. lol.

  It would be hard for me to not laugh. Or vomit. Both LOL.

  Saying "thoughts and prayers" where I came from is mostly a back handed compliment. And a quick , get me the f@#% away from this person, even if the person saying it thinks they mean it when saying it.

  JW compassion?

  i have a nephew that has just recently being diagnosed with a life threatening disease through bad choices he has made in his life over the last 20 years.

  now he has asked myself and my sons to be there for him and without being judgemental we have being up at the hospital every other day for the last couple of weeks.

  now this is the part where i am just pissed right off.. one of my nephews other cousins goes to the hospital and starts giving him a guilt trip, saying that this was all his own fault that she couldn't talk to him for the last 20 years and his sickness now is all because he left jehooba organization blah blah blah.

  My uncle groomed, molested, then later raped not 1 but 2 of his daughters. Both daughters came forward he was arrested and is now in prison. Guess who goes to the prison to hold a bible study with him. Yep, jehovahs witnesses. His sister is married to an Elder. Pulled some strings? Also he is 'So repentant" , of course he is. Just nasty!

  On the note of bad choices and life threatening diseases and harshly criticizing ..... Most witnesses have this attitude about people they considered to have had "access" to the 'truth' but chose something different.

  If it were someone they met at the door or cart work that had never known jws with self induced diseases, then they would treat them with kindness. (to their face) And try to bring that one 'in'.

  As far as bad choices go- How many raging alcoholic elders, MS and others in the borg are there that I have known? I lost count. But if there liver fails, its just 'time and unforeseen circumstance'.(eye roll)

  William, if your nephew had a few hundred thousand to be gifted to jws or relatives after death(openly known), funny how money will change a jws behavior in cases like this. I hope your nephew pulls thru.

  Im sorry that you had the mind bending, blatant lack love experiance of dealing with that. A lot of us have seen that first hand.

  which would be weird because they don't even believe in the cross, or maybe it was clip art from another source and they didn't notice.

  or last and most likely i'm seeing things that aren't there 😜.

  fantastic news just in: daniel kokotajlo’s film apostasy about a jw family facing the blood issue and - ahem - a daughter who apostatises - was released late last week in the united kingdom.

  even though it received limited release in its first weekend and is going to be in more cinemas this weekend, it has entered the top 15 films at no.

  12 - a magnificent result for a highly acclaimed film made on a shoe string.

  @steve2-Caves, not sure what provoked your unusually negative comments. Who ever claimed the film would “wake people up”? That is not its point nor mine.

  No one claimed it would wake people up and I didn't think that. My comment was a bit on the crass side. And what provoked it was I was interested in a few topics here and got on threads. Then I saw others arguing on those threads I was reading, and it sorta made me bitter and upset for a bit.I carried that over, It was a bit out of character for me (just got out of the ER to, so, sorry about that.)

  Its cool that you saw it. I will say cheers to that and cheers to the size of the audience. I have seen the trailer but not the movie. I look forward to it. I guess I look forward to the audience reaction to it.

  How the Borg could increase meeting attendance numbers

  i think that the 8 popes should allow the jdubs to count time driving to the meetings or even count their time being at the meetings.

  those who just listen over the phone can't count their time.. it would be a much better religious cult if the 8 self-licking ice cream popes would let their followers count their time for helping the elderly in the kingdumb haul with stopping by to have coffee, shopping, cleaning, cutting grass, etc.

  let them count time by visiting the friends in nursing homes, maybe even allow double the hours for the nursing home visits.. this probably ain't going to happen because the cart work is easier..

  @vidiot- topless ushers. LOL How about monthly gift cards for a massage to pioneers and auxiliarys for their aching bodys. LOL.

  @eyeuse2badub- or even during love making since any subsequent offspring resulting from love making will likely result in another jw! The whole 9 months of pregnancy.
