Wakanda-It was mentioned at meeting this week that it might be the last memorial! Was that murderous loon trying to encourage attendance?
I remember them saying that when I was little, every memorial. The very last time I ever spoke with any jw relative was right before the memorial in 2012 and they said this exact thing. I immediately spoke to her like shes never heard and I was a little surprised I spoke that way to be honest. I said "That is the last time you will ever use fear as a tool to try to get me to do anything, I am done , We are DONE!." That's the last thing I ever said and I intent on it staying the last thing.

Statewide closures of all schools, public and private in Washington state. In addition to all the other closures. People were panicking before this announcement today from Gov Inslee. Now some hysteria is setting in. This will affect millions in Washington state alone. If they thought there was a homeless problem before am afraid this is looking catastrophic.
Also across the US, several more states are doing this.
The up side. Trying to stay somewhat positive. All those hobbies and things you never have time for , now would be a good time to do those things. If at all possible I'm going to try to view this as a much overdue vacation.
Could be a good time to plant a garden, read, draw, play board games, research a topic you always wanted ect...

They have a prerecorded memorial talk on the website 'if an elder isn't present'. More like for jws to sit at home and watch it. Celebrate it. Damn, and I was going to get my hair done.
Mentioned "final part of the last days" and said "Current global pandemic reminds us of the four horseman of the apocalypse" , the wording of 'we can easily back out of that' sort of way "like always". IT NEVER SAID GREAT TRIBULATION.

Regional assemblies are still going forward as planned.
Weddings and funerals to limited to a small amount of people.

Baptisms planned for Circuit assemblies that are now cancelled will await instruction from Circuit overseers as to how and when.

Absolutely true! That's America for you. That's why I work for myself in part. No one is going to make me fret over losing my job because I'm running a fever, sick or anything else. #1 reason I've quit any job. The sickening part is its rampant in the food industry. Like its a badge of honor. I have actually gotten raises and promotions years ago just for showing up sick. How f'ing sad is that. The alternative was being short on bills and fired. No thanks.

I have really tried to curve any extra accolades or give preferential treatment in my mind towards actors and actresses beyond the performance. Way to many in Hollywood I looked up to as a kid turned out to be monsters in real life.
What if he and his wife gets better? Then some people will be extra flippantly self assuming about the virus.
What if they die? Then some will be in hysterics about this global pandemic even more so because it was Tom Hanks and his wife. As if the other 1000s were less important. Rubbish. I am aware you didn't say that specifically.
I suppose the point does boil down to, 'if famous people are getting it, it must be "very" serious.' In the eyes of many. Yet it is.

The real Dracula?
by LoveUniHateExams ini'm a bit of a horror fan - i love horror movies and the novel dracula by bram stoker is a pretty good read - especially the first four chapters, with jonathan harker being in dracula's castle.. i've heard before that stoker based count dracula on a 15th century voivod (prince) of wallachia who went down in history as vlad the impaler - apparently, he was extremely barbaric and cruel, as his name suggests.. vlad's father was also called vlad.
daddy vlad was apparently part of an order of crusader knights, the order of the dragon.
this order was formed to protect christian europe against muslim ottomans/turks.

I'm personally obsessed with Romania. 'Dracula' in Romania is just for tourist. The irony is Romanians do not celebrate Halloween. Dracula is such Westernized hype. And old stories made up.
I do think that Bram Stokers Dracula is one of the best in terms of visuals and story line plus actors that played in it. The kind I movie I wish would be the place where Hollywood stops. I have yet to find a Dracula movie that tops it.
I don't watch many horror movies anymore. Something I never thought Id grow out of. But I used to a lot.
As far as knowledge of the real Vlad, a lot of it is made up. There are the Slavic and German recounts that don't match up. Not only the obvious Dracula Vampire stuff but the manner in which he killed the Ottomans and the Transylvanian Saxons.
In Romania he was and is a hero. He was leader 3 times, known for "getting it done" so to speak. He was authoritarian. He was cruel. (it was the dark ages back then) cruelty was the norm in fighting.
But he was a strong leader protecting his land from invaders. Romanians view him as doing what was necessary to protect his country from Muslims and Islam who would have completely destroyed Romania if it not were for Vlad.
From what I can tell or read he really wanted peace and part of his reign was peaceful. Until invaders threatened the country's entire way of life.

I meant that to be funny but then I just watched the clip of that part of the movie and it wasn't.
That part made me cry really hard because I lived isolated in the mountains and became attached to a plant that grew native I had never seen. I was dealing with the hard part of PTSD back then. When finally moved from that spot I cried so hard because I realized that I had been talking to that plant for months and it for all intents and purposes , it became my friend. Went back to visit it many times.

I would drag his ass out to the woods and torture him for as long as I could. That's a big reason I cant go back where I was raised. I'm not sure I would be able to control myself. Especially since he has a track record of pedophilia. It ripped my family apart. Never to be repaired. I would like to think I could control myself, but I really don't think I could in that situation. The damage it caused. The lives destroyed. The innocent children that never really had a damn chance.

They don't even keep pedos in general population when they happen to land in jail usually, because the inmates WILL kill them or try.
I went to jail when I was 21 for 3 months for fighting a cop. I know stupid. (never charged me) It was to teach me a lesson and it did. I was a lose canon back then. Anyway a pedo came in and somehow they made a mistake and put him in general population. It took a dozen guards to get the inmates off of him when the inmates found out. When they were done, lets just say I don't think he made it to his court date capable of forming sentences and probably not after that ever again.
So go ahead pedos, fight back. You all must have a death wish.

Social distancing and the Memorial

jesus gave the command to keep doing this in remembrance of him or will sound, reasonableness and good judgment for safety overrule on that special night.
my guess is that it will not be canceled regardless of the frightening and very real pandemic the virus has caused around the world!.
