As far using zoom in the context of the jws, just tape over your camera while using.

Here are some , but not all of the massive security flaws with zoom. A "regular non tech person" may not be able to "hack your camera" but a fairly novice "hacker could" especially after a quick research and implementation of a few tools on the internet readily available for the common Joe. Since I guarantee the wtbs has a top notch IT department , I would air on the side of caution. Caution not paranoia.

I said this in 2009 about web cameras, and I was vilified for it by the psychiatric facility that I got therapy from. One month later, they all had tape on their cameras, because it hit the news. Along with a huge apology letter to me. I almost sued the shit out of them. The only reason, ONLY, reason was because so many relied on their services. My attorney was angry I didn't press forward. Anyway, that was a little different but the premise is the same.

The response to the pandemic has been slow and the CDC has been facing hurdles stymying their efforts.

~~My personal favorite-~~ Liberal means live and let live...respect the lives of others. Treat people with dignity and allow them their freedom to live the best life they can. It has nothing to do with stupidity or ignorance.

No. It mean do as we say not as we do. It means if you don't agree with us you are a part of the problem "we liberals" created. It means we want you to fit inside labeled boxes and if you don't we will force you on the streets (but give you places to shoot up for free) because that "our" version of "helping". It means using the word tolerance itself as a double bind "we liberals created" to vilify anyone that doesn't agree with it. It means that liberals are hypocrites that scream the loudest.

It means that 'I'll just take these herbal cures and snake oil prescriptions by an untrained 'herbalist" to cure my breast cancer". "But when my titty falls off, I wont be able to understand why the herbal treatment over proven science didn't work". Then will rush to the doctor and use all the modern medicine to get rid of the cancer. Touting how herbs cured it. "hypocrite".

It means customers paying for plastic bags at the store in the name of "Protecting the environment" and getting government kickbacks because of it. Then vilifying those that go ahead and use them, like you do. While using those 'Kickbacks' to line your pocket. Then throwing those plastic bags away that end up in the ocean anyway.

I could go on and on and on.

As far as Pelosi, she just exposed herself in a way the public will not forget. She's held up the Senate for the "liberal agenda" yet again. Wasting precious time during a pandemic costing lives. Yet she advances she's for the people. She is now translucent! When minutes and lives mattered she showed that she could not be trusted in the most acute of times. All the things that she tried to sneak in the bill could and should have been addressed at another time. Not during a global pandemic affecting the world wide economy.

So how is that "live and let live"? Its not.

Never in my wildest imaginings did I ever think when I was in that the meetings would be online or over video. When I saw tablets being used for the studies I was on the way out with my head tilted to the side like a dog trying to figure out what in the hell they were doing.

Have you Witnessed a Change in People's Life-Style / Behaviour where you Live?

i certainly have , over the normal week i go to one of two clubs where i have two beers over a couple of hours ( i pace myself ) and catch up with a few friends .

one of the clubs every hour goes around to disinfect everywhere people make contact with pokies /machines or whatever we might touch.and they also now have limits as to how many can be in a certain area at any one time.and that applies to both clubs ,except one does not disinfect every hour.. today, their were far fewer people in this particular club that i attended that is usually bustling with patrons on a saturday either drinking gambling and socializing .not today.

and a strict rule of how many could be in a certain area at any one time .. and i agree with all of this , its necessary .and i will be monitoring my own activities as need be.. what have you noticed in your neck of the woods.?

On my drive home this evening the town was (about 30,000) dead. Very few vehicles on the road.

In the local paper today, 10 - Covid-19 cases in the last few days. Tests started arriving this Wed-Thursday as told to me by a gal that works in HR at the hospital.

A real-estate company in town apparently sent out a letter last Monday to tell their tenants that if they are unable to pay rent, even due to job loss, you will be evicted. Even though there is a freeze on evictions, in this state. They quickly retracted it Wednesday. Supposedly, from what I've heard from various places in town, most everyone that rented from them banned together and got something done.

Today I heard more talk about fighting the local government, armed if necessary. People are scared and its was bikers talking this. Bikers (not bicyclist) when they start talking this way usually mean what they say. So its unnerving at best. People are banning together.

Some stores have gotten sneeze guards installed at the check out stands.

Stores here are getting restocked again and have gotten strict about over purchasing. So the shelves are filling back up some.

Tuesday I was at the store and there were two teenagers "pretend coughing" on the isle next to me and laughing, while an elderly lady stood at the end of the isle just about to reach the panic attack point. It pissed me right off and I went up to them and told them to "knock it the F' off or get the F' out." The employees came over and had my back. The teenagers left and then the employees helped the lady get what she needed.

I personally as I'm sure many others are seeing the shift that people are taking this seriously now.

Yes. In addition to what others have said, because its about the same. People are also losing their jobs left and right.

Then there the ones that still have a job literally hatefully rubbing it in peoples faces. I saw that earlier in the week. Some of those people are now out of work. I would laugh but I'm busy trying to calm myself and survive.

Even though there is a rent freeze here. Some places will not honor that. The good news to that is the courts are closed so they cant evict anyway without a judge. For now.

Stores are doing a decent job of re-stocking , as best they can.

My doctors have started using video appointments and or phone visits.

Less traffic. Ironically, less law enforcement.

Senior center closed. Public places closed. Tourist stuff closed.

The hwy I live on says 'Locals only'.

Denial, I see lots of people in denial. Though that is fading.

for myself, there is an embarrassingly long list of things that really should really have woken me up, fully.

it was a long process for me, as a mind controlled born in, things i simply did not agree with, or knew were downright wrong, that built and built, and, eventually i woke up, after 58 bloody years in !.

but just mainly for fun, what should have woken you up ?.

Many things.

At 10yrs old when 3 elders questioned me for hours about being molested by my jw grandfather. Every. single. detail. Like they were getting turned on or some shit. Nothing a 10 yr old should ever have gone through. The icing on the shit cake of a meeting is I got privately reproved for not screaming out. What in the world were they thinking?

At 17 when I got dfed for marring a non witness.

At 18 when I strangled an elder outside for spanking my son and they so much as didn't say a word to me. So you choke someone and no one says anything. But get fucking molested or marry an outsider than apparently your worthy of death spiritually and physically.

When my wife cheated on me with my best friend in the cong, three separate times and each time the elders didn't want to "stumble" her as she wasn't baptized yet, but the guy was baptized and they did nothing. You have got to be kidding me. So nothing was done to either one.

I could name more but I won't.

They all know how I feel about about it where I grew up, and it does give me immense satisfaction to know that if they ever saw me in person that they would most likely break their neck trying to run. Because they know I'd break it for them anyway. Glady! Anyday! And happily go to prison for life. It is literally for peoples safety I don't go back to where I grew up.

That sure took any pity I might be feeling towards their plight right out of the equation.
