Could anybody in the world non JW`s zoom in to the Memorial ?
by smiddy3 inwhy i ask this is because the night before the memorial we had a phone call from a longtime friend who obviously is still indoctrinated ,to encourage us to log onto jw.org and view the proceedings ?.
she made a big deal about how this has never happened before and that even non jw`s could watch it .. she was going to ring us up on the night to help us log in if we had any problems or whatever .. this friend is a bit eccentric to say the least and speaks against the elders at times ,sometimes i even wondered whether she was df or not ?
so this ph.call surprised me somewhat ,and the wife`s attitude is she`s happy just let her be and don`t rock the boat ,she is about our age so just let her be ,we have had a lot of history with her and she still talks to us despite what the religion says.. but when the memorial was about to start no phone call and we haven`t heard from her since ?

by Fadeaway1962 injust had a whatsapp from a uber relative that the memorial will be shown on the only controlled government tv station in zimbabwe because the bro's can't afford to stream or use zoom because of the price of data so millions on lockdown having to watch or listen to the memorial in their homes.

they finnish off by saying jehovah has everything under control.. population of zimbabwe is about 14million.. bet they will still ask for money?.

Remember the Revelation book?
by wozza ini recall when it was released ,that's when i was a drone, how excited i felt at the prospect of reading it and formulating ways to sell it at the homes in my area.. i thought, finally a book to explain the last book in the bible and indeed one that the churches seemed to want to leave alone!.
i sold quite a few probably because of my enthusiasm and can still remember clearly the first day when i went knocking on doors with it ,and it's been decades since.. but over time it lost it's shine and my mind started to question the explanations in it due to the scene of other things being changed in the jw beliefs.. do you remember they flogged that book so many times in the book studies even when it was found to have "newer light " eclipsing it!.
who else remembers the printed pages with the official corrections to insert into the book ,so many that the book collapsed to be of no relevance anymore really.....what an embarrassment!.

We had a book study conductor who didn't really prepare for the study so I would correct him during the group with the updates after a few weeks I got a shepherding call and given a finger wagging for making him look bad in front of his group.he later went on to be the po.
I remember as a child the babylon the great book,
There was also a book that delt with Ezekiel .

The instructions are if you have a reasonable excuse ,to visit a 2nd home is not .
She could have had a accident and then put a strain on the emergency services NHS etc.
She could make a sizable donation to NHS from her sizable salary (if she can afford a second home,)
She could have asked the local police to check that her home was ok .

What do JW's believe about the Anti Christ? Been out for 20 years, don't remember lol...
by bobfish ini was watching a video saying with tongue in cheek saying that trump was the antichrist listing all the scriptures and prophecies... was kind of funny but it made me wonder what the heck do jw's believe?
was it that it's other religions or some such garbage?
i don't seem to recall it being a specific person but honestly i don't recall at all.

SINCE the term “antichrist” has long been used as a label for everything from monarchs to movies, it is only natural to ask: Who is the antichrist? Does this term have anything to do with us today? Surely the logical place to begin when searching for the identity of the antichrist is in the Bible, where the term appears five times.
ANTICHRIST EXPOSED
The only Bible writer to use the word “antichrist” is the apostle John. How did he describe the antichrist? Note these words in the first letter bearing his name: “Young children, it is the last hour, and just as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared, from which fact we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of our sort . . . Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.”—1 John 2:18, 19, 22.
The apostle John understood the antichrist to be all who deliberately spread religious deception about Jesus Christ and Jesus’ teachings
What do we learn from those words? John mentioned “many antichrists,” indicating that the antichrist is, not an individual, but a collective term. People or organizations making up the antichrist spread lies, deny that Jesus is the Christ, or the Messiah, and try to distort the relationship between God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Those who make up the antichrist claim to be Christ or his representatives, but since “they went out from us,” they deviated from true Bible teachings. Furthermore, this group was present at the time when John wrote his letter, in “the last hour,” presumably the end of the time of the apostles.
What else did John write regarding the antichrist? Speaking about false prophets, he warned: “Every inspired statement that acknowledges Jesus Christ as having come in the flesh originates with God. But every inspired statement that does not acknowledge Jesus does not originate with God. Furthermore, this is the antichrist’s inspired statement that you have heard was coming, and now it is already in the world.” (1 John 4:2, 3) Then, in his second letter, John reiterated this point: “Many deceivers have gone out into the world, those not acknowledging Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.” (2 John 7) Clearly, John understood the antichrist to be all who deliberately spread religious deception about Jesus Christ and Jesus’ teachings.
