  did anyone else experience a nostalgic throwback to the 1990s when the latest watchtower announcements presented their demand for increased donations from congregations as a “simplified” arrangement?

  5. adjustment to resolved congregation donations: in the past, the congregation was presented with multiple resolutions to donate funds to the branch office in support of vari- ous activities cared for by the organization.

  this arrangement has been simplified.

  the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse (iicsa) will hold additional virtual public hearings in the child protection in religious organisations and settings investigation next week.. the timetable was released today: https://www.iicsa.org.uk/key-documents/20825/view/virtual-cpiros-timetable-week-3-10-august-2020.pdf .

  to be born a woman is a great disadvantage in many parts of the world and much more if she is part of a destructive sect like the jehovah’s witnesses where she is submitted to the “theocratic order” being the base that sustains the corporate pyramid, displaying submission at all times before male authority.

  those of us that have been part of this cult can verify that the woman has to carry out a series of practices that for the rest of society is somewhat incomprehensible.

  i’d like to draw your attention to the act of head covering, if for any reason a woman has to pray in public while a male is present, who is not available to lead the prayer, she must cover her head because she wouldn’t be respecting the arrangement of authority if she didn’t.

  We are or were all victims of a manipulating and controlling cult ,

  Controlling all aspects of our lives women regarding head covering and teaching at the k/hall etc usually did a better job than the bro's .

  Controlling men having beards , wrong colour shirt , being pressured to reach out if they didn't they weren't spiritual.

  Now free of the cult all people are equal.

  i sat in recently with some relatives for the sunday meeting.

  the talk was given by a bethel speaker, who at one point quoted john 20:25.

  The Romans execution method was to use a cross member not because of any religious meaning but as a way of a slow tortuous death which was meant to take 2-3 days for the person to die as a example to others.

  They also commented that some have been known to survive and that if the person known as Jesus was taken down after 6 hour's he could have possibly survived and then people would claim a resurection .
