Matthew 25
by Farkel inwhen did we see you a stranger and receive you hospitably, or naked, and clothe you?
he was talking about food, clothing, shelter and supplication to the least of the brothers.
he could not be talking about anything else and here is why: could any human offer jesus spiritual food?

Well done Farkle!
I have enjoyed this thread so much. The JW's have abused and forgotten the Golden Rule and who truly are thier brothers. This is evident how even "blood" brothers are shunned, much less help a strnger.I utilize the following in training for managers and thought I would pass on:
The Golden Rule Over 25 Centuries
ƒË "Do not do unto others all that which is not well for oneself."
6th Century BC, ZoroasterƒË "Hurt not others with that which pains thyself."
6th Century BC, BuddhaƒË "Do not do unto others what you do not want others to do unto you."
6th Century BC, ConfuciusƒË "May I do unto others as I would that they should do unto me."
5th Century BC, PlatoƒË "Do not do to others which if done to thee would cause thee pain."
3rd Century BC, MahabharataƒË "Do not do unto others what thou wouldst not they should do unto thee."
1st Century AD, Rabbi HillelƒË "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."
1st Century AD, Jesus ChristƒË "None of you truly have the faith if you do not desire for both your brother that which you desire for yourself."
6th Century AD, MuhammadƒË "Lay not on any sole a load which ye would not wish to be laid upon you and desire not for anyone the things you would not desire for yourself."
19th Century A.D., Baha'u'llahThanks again for your post!

love and happiness
what else do you seek? there may be nothing more than just this short existance on this planet....and if that is the case, just this short time, should we try to savor every moment of it?
it has been said many time, in many ways....all you have is right now

What a fun time for you! I honestly can't even begin to help with a serious name. I remember my wife and I had decided on the first name of Savannah for our daughter. The middle name was still out there, although we had discussed several. When she was born and we were asked for her full name, we decided at that moment that Savannah's middle name would be Blaze.
We had discussed the name and botrh liked it, however it wasn't until we she her that we knew.
By the way, at 2 and a half, she lives up to the Blaze everyday.
I wish you the best, good luck!

WORKS of the SOLDIER of JAH
by Amazing init is fifteen hundred years before jesus christ.
an israeli soldier of jah stands ready in his place outside the walls of jericho.
finally, as the walls crumble down, many people of jericho scatter and run, including families with babies in mommy's arm, children clutching their daddy's hand.. an israelite soldier see one of these families, and according to his marching orders, runs after this family.

Amazing,
I can remember asking those types of questions of my older brother, also an elder, when I was 12 or so. How can a loving God command his people to do such awful things? I never have understood this.It was this type of thing that led me down the path to being df'ed, and to also keep questioning....everything!
Thanks for reminding me, in you well written account, to question everything.

I can remember in the late 60's and early 70's being told at a convention that we could not watch Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie, Dark Shadows, etc. I would sneak around to watch when I was not around my mom or brothers and sisters. They were afraid that the "demons" would come right through the TV into your living room
BTW - Why did it seem like all the "good" TV shows were on Tuesday and Thursday nights?[>:(]Reverend Roy

A voice.....
by ReverendRoy inas some of you may have noticed i always include this quote with my signature - "why is it when we talk to god we're praying - but when god talks to us, we're schizophrenic?".
i am poking some fun at this concept basically.
however, a few years ago, driving in my car on the way to work, i heard a very clear, audible voice that was not mine.

I guess that I do believe in a spiritual realm, although what that is and whay that involves I am not sure. From the concept of reincarnation to ghosts to angels, I do think there is something around us all the time. Some of us may be more intuned to it than others Now the thought of a God as I was raised to belive, I do doubt to some degree.Kat -
Thanks for sharing. I have had other people tell me similar stories, to the point of causing the person to take an acrtion that may have prevented an accident or injury to themselves or someone they know. I can understand being spooked, especially with our upbringing as JW's and the whole demonic influence thing. That was an odd intering thing that happened to me that day...
