  Yes, Jackson was disassocited in the mid 1980s under the old arrangement that allowed for the disassociation of non baptized publishers, which was the equivalent of the disfellowshipping of a baptized witness.

  If this is the case, then he's not DF'd now. Those that were DA'd under this rule were later paroled and pardoned. If he was baptized at the time, then he's DF'd, not DA'd. Right? Rev

  up until this evening i had thought teresa schiavo was in an unconcious state, lying on a bed with just a machine keeping her alive.

  how wrong was i?

  i saw her smiling and showing awareness of her surroundings.

  what if we all printed up some flyers advertising ..........seek the truth about the truth.go to jw.com for the answers to questions youv'e had or may have.read articles from the watchtower that the society hopes you will never find.. could we legaly put those on their windshields during a meeting?im sure we could do it at least once,and then if asked to leave comply with their wishes.its a well nown fact that out of 100 or 1000 or 100,000 that some will take the bait and check it out just due to human curiousity.. if we all started using the same informal preaching as them such as dropping flyers at laundry mats and phone booths and grociery stores etc you would think it would catch on.i havent counted all the members of this board and how many countries are represented but it sure looks like a lot to me.. what do you guys and gals think?..............ken

  IMO there's more people out there that need to hear the truth than just JWs. The public needs to know what kind of people are knocking on their doors.

  Another idea I had, but never had a chance to follow through with, (and we were just talking about this in LambsRoar chat Tuesday), is to print fliers and mail to 100 random people a week, in turn asking them to copy (or print from website) and mail to 10 people, and so on. Kind of like a chain letter, but legal :) - Probably won't get a super high percentage that actually copy and mail, but some probably would.

  This was an idea to get the word out on the child abuse issue, but it could work for whatever.

  I still think an organized printed periodical would be a great thing. The pages could also be shown online and printed from home for distribution.

  Faxing the flyer to businesses and asking them to post them may not be a horrible idea either.

  Here and there for business advertising purposes I've even printed advertising on the outside of my outgoing mail envelopes and even put flyers in my bills. I.E. A few years ago I was buying and selling property online, no credit check, etc and I'd throw a flyer for our website in each piece of mail I sent out, even (especially) my bills and asked them to post in their breakroom.

  Aside from getting hits from the search engines, this was probably my greatest source of revenue which leads me to know for a fact that some of them really did post the flyers.

  There's all sorts of little things we can do to make a difference.

  I've had this bobbing around in my head for a while, thought I'd mention it now.

  I haven't read any of the posts in this thread because I'm in a hurry, so sorry if this doesn't apply (I did read the first and the LambsRoar.org mention - Thanks :) )

  Anyway, I had considered putting together a quarterly magazine, or tabloid (quarterly because I can't afford more than that). I'll flip the bill for the printing of 15-20,000 (or if you did a signature size [8.5x11 4 page] you can double that]

  The pages would be 11x17 (4 page).

  The tab would include various writings of posters here, and I thought maybe each addition would include a page or two from CoC, with permission of course and an order form to purchase the full book.

  The tabs can be delivered at convenient stores, grocery stores, dr's offices, and the like, they'll all take them since they're free.

  If anyone is interested, we can get started on it right away. We'd need a volunteer editor, typesetter/graphic artist, proof readers, writers, and distributors.

  I own the web press, but the paper, plates, ink, etc will still run around 3-400.00 (which I will cover quarterly). Mailing the papers to various distributors will be quite expensive as well, so I propose that any volunteers for distribution commit to a contribution for postage and such. If we wanted to go more often than quarterly, more donations would be in order. (Or if we wanted 4 color)

  Again, I didn't have time to read the entire thread, so perhaps I'm way off the mark here.
