  i was trying to find the watchtower where the gb says they are “neither inspired nor infallible”.

  i thought it was the feb. 2017 watchtower, but i can’t find it.

  so i was doing some research on the russell’s origin which we all know is advetism.

  i live close to the mecca of advetists and wanted to learn more about them.

  did your conscience ever bother you when you were counseling/reproving/disfellowshipping ones in the congregation?

  did it feel extreme or justified based on your biblical understanding at the time.

  also are there any ex-elders here that dealt with child abuse accusations?

  so my husband who was not attending meetings for the last four months, went to the special talk, the memorial and the meeting today.

  he said he feels jehovah’s spirit is back and that they are all being so kind.. i am just sick to my stomach.

  he just refuses to see anything as a problem.

  so tomorrow night will be my first memorial that i have not attended.

  several friends have been texting me yesterday and today.

  even some that never gave me the time of day when i was attending.

  so my husband asked me if i’m going to the memorial.

  i said “no”.. he asked would it be okay if i take the kids.

  “i would prefer that you didn’t”.. why can’t he see the lies!

  .. “are you okay with jehovah killing your mom, sister, nephew (non-witnesses) at armageddon?”.

  He went to the meeting today!

  so after almost 5 months of not attending meeting, today my husband decided to attend the special talk.

  i am sad, frustrated, nervous, but also hopeful that he will see something that he never did before .

  lies and manipulation.

  i will be eternally grateful to leah remini for her docuseries on scientology.

  it is what helped me to start waking up and seeing the org for what it is.

  i remember thinking huh “they call it disconnecting, we do the same thing.
