I got df'd, reinstated and never went back just so I can talk to my family. Sad religion.

How much time have you ever spent on Jw.org ?
by Chook ini'm proud to say no greater than ten minutes in my whole life.
and i'm not giving them any more.
i do look at the video posts on here with their latest bullshit but being entertained by these clowns longer than necessary is unproductive..

A Smurf walked out of the Kingdom Hall
by Joshnaz inwhen i was a kid, i'm guessing 5 or 6 years old.
the "smurfs are demonized" rumors started spreading around.
after a few weeks of hearing that and having to throw away all my smurf toys, i was at the kingdom hall and a sister came in with a bookbag with a big picture of a smurf on it!

The MJ helped with my social anxiety (fear of being judged and evaluated negatively by other people, leading to feelings of inadequacy, inferiority, embarrassment, humiliation, and depression) it also made the meetings more interesting. It was either that or not go all, now I dont go at all, the MJ helped open my mind to all the riffraff that was being preached. It wasnt easy going to meetings in Orange County California, everyone seemed so high strung and you had to wear nice suits and drive nice cars.

Most Jw would take a bullet before renouncing faith
by Chook inour enthusiasm for truth is not shared with our former brothers.
they base their whole lives on a historical book yet won't look back 50 years to see origins of cult..

Chook you are right, it's called drinking the Cool-aid. It's a money machine with a low retention rate that uses family and friends to keep you captive. It's really painful to look back on my youth and think of all the things that I missed out on, especially a real education and getting laid in my high school years (I cant tell you how much trim I turned down) that sucked! :(

Some Good News About Me (Although Anthony Morris Will Be Furious)
by pale.emperor injust wanted to share with you some good news i'm really excited about.
i have been accepted for university to study psychology and counseling.
my goal is to become a counselor and, in time, to specialize on treating those who have left high control relationships/groups like we all did.. it'll take a few years before im qualified but studying in university has been a dream of mine since i was 12, which was systematically dashed to pieces by watchtower.. .

Going out in service.
by Fader812 ini loved going out in service, i would empty my book bag out on the counter at the laundromat, walk out and go get a doughnut, i had a lot of hours and placements on my time card.
i really hated talking to people, the anxiety was too much for me to handle, good thing my service partner felt the same way..

We would do so-called early morning witnessing, go to field service meeting and go get breakfast and call it a day. I found any way to get out of going door to door, it turns my stomach just thinking about it.
