What is clearly shown in the history of the Watchtower Society is that the Governing Body is made up of only imperfect humans who make mistakes just like everybody else, who have clung to ideas that were not the truth, which resulted in harm to many people. The Society unwittingly admitted that its zigzagging, erroneous doctrines are products of mere men when it is stated "...Jehovah, the God who gives himself absolutely no scope for getting it wrong" (Watchtower 12-15-1992, p 32). The Society's gravest error lies in its claim of being more than imperfect humans; it lies in its blasphemous claim of being the channel of communication between Almighty God and all of humankind!
Although the Society cites scriptural support every time it changes its doctrines to a new point of view, and then later switches them back to the former view, and so on - common sense testifies to the fact that not all of those viewpoints represent the truth - hence, some of the time they represent false teachings. Paradoxically, the Witnesses - who pride themselves on being champions of truth - are very afraid of finding out what the truth about the organization is.
The Society makes many decisions about how JW's must live. It asserts its authority is from God, thus coercing the Witnesses into living their lives according to those decisions - but those decisions hurt people, and at times cost them their lives. Instead of humbly acknowledging its errors and asking forgiveness for the pain it has cause others, the Society presumptuously continues in its insistence that its authority is from God, shifting its doctrines to and fro without conscience as to how these doctrines are effecting those over whom it lords its power. Yes, the Society is an organization based on the vacillating, contradicting teachings of a singular collective group of mere men, as manifested by its many false prophecies and flip-flopping teachings which are obviously based on guesswork and imagination of men and not Divine direction of God.
Its ever-changing teachings are not founded on reality, but are wrong about as much as they are right - if indeed they are ever right at all...!

The movie "The attack of the killer tomatoes" was so incredibly stupid and dreadful, that the critics actually began to find it "interesting". The film was one of the biggest bombs they ever made and for that it got a price of sorts.
On the other hand, some of my all-time favorite movies are: The Sound of Music (Julie Andrews), Where Eagles Dare (Richard Burton, Clint Eastwood), All about Eve (Ann Baxter, Bette Davis), North by Northwest (Gary Grant), The Princess Bride, The Never Ending Story (The first one with Noah Hathaway), The Count of Monte Cristo (Richard Chamberlain), The Outlaw Josey Wales (Clint Eastwood), Tunes of Glory (Alec Guinness), Charly (Cliff Robertson), The Doctor (William Hurt), Indiana Jones series (not the 2nd episode), Laura (Gene Tierney), The Guns of Navarone (David Niven), Marnie (Sean Connery), The Party (Peter Sellers), Rear Window (Gregory Peck and the lovely Grace Kelly), Casablanca (Humphrey Bogart) and Life is Beautiful, just to name a few...

Who knows GB Member Gerrit Lösch?
by GermanXJW ini was told that gerrit losch was one of the nethinim before he became a gb member that means he was not of the annointed.
my source told me he felt he was annointed but did not partake from the emblems because of his wife who has the earthly hope.
but then he changed his mind and became a gb member.. is this true?

I am sick and tired of hearing how the Society manipulates other witnesses who want to do what is right humanely. If there is proof beyond a reasonable doubt and the elders are not swift in removing that individual from their midst (including the fact that the elders do not report it themselves to the authorities afterwards), then it is a duty to report this heinous crime to the police without question by any other witness who had become a witness to this crime.

My experience at the Memorial...
by Richie inthe memorial was held last night at a community center about 15 km away from the kingdom hall.
as a df'd person, i always feel more uncomfortable if the memorial is held at a location other than the regular kh, as i would otherwise know my way around where to sit in obscurity, as well as arriving just as the meeting is about to start.. well, i decided to come a little bit earlier (although not too early) - then walked inside the community center and suddenly i was standing in front of the wide entrance where practically everyone was gathered in order to get a perfect view of who were entering the hall.
needless to say, i felt like an alien, someone who did not exist at all, yet when i gazed into the eyes of many of the ones i know, i noticed that they were secretly looking at me and then quickly turned their heads away from me.

Thanks for your post Scully...
It's true what you said about my youngest daughter. Even though it is hypocritical on the part of the witnesses by accepting her within their midst, I am nonetheless happy that she is treated that way. She is bright enough to see through all the pretense, yet she knows that not all witnesses are to blame - they just follow the rules whenever necessary up to a point.Richie

Yadirf...
You brought up 6 points and not one of them you answered. Your reply to the 1st point was an insinuation on your part. Do you chum with the opposers of the truth as set forth in the bible? As I said to you before, I love the bible, promote its value and stand for righteousness found in God's word and I love my heavenly Father..., do you?
As a matter of interest, did you know that the WT prefers that no one should have their own website promoting the WTBTS? Only the Society should have one. I realize you will not be df'd for that, but it is a mark against you, according to their decree. What do you think about that?My thoughts and opinions do NOT go contrary to scripture, do yours?
You knew exactly what I was talking about: the WT is very clear to those who show initial interest (bible students for instance) in promoting understanding and fairness by stating that anyone who would be interested in the truth of God's word, is encouraged to do independent research as much as they can, yet once they are inside the "fold", any thinking which goes contrary to all rules and stipulations brought forth by the WT, even though these rules may not be bible-based necessarily, but nonetheless principled in its form, is forbidden in the strictest sense. Do you think that the Bereoens had such "freedom"? The Bereoens made sure that all matters at hand would always be in conjunction with bible decrees and they would not allow themselves to deviate from that course!
True, not everybody on this board uses logic and common sense, but many do. However in the interest of fairness, many bring out points which are necessary to be expounded on, such as the occurrence of many suicides, mental illnesses, family breakdowns to name just a few... Not to mention the enormous amounts of flip flop understandings by the WT, all in the name of the light getting brighter and brighter, yet all the time claiming to be "prophets" in Jehovah's name. The prophets from of old never made a mistake in prophesying, even though all of them were imperfect and made many personal mistakes, which of course is understandable and acceptable. A prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah, which means that the understanding set forth should be truth to begin with and every newer understanding of a similar point should have a broader truth, a more wide ranging truth, an enhanced truth of understanding! In that case would the light be getting brighter, not the complete flip flops done by "Jehovah's spokesmen" (WT), which at best were embarrassing. Additionally, in almost all flip-flop cases no apology was ever given, but a flippant excuse for the total wrongness of an interpretation by the members of the GB, who at the very least should have otherwise shown an acceptable humility.I have never denigrated, slandered or run down Jehovah or Jesus Christ on anything he stands for...
He stands for justice, truth and righteousness in a supreme sense, far, very far above mere tiny humans such as us. In your opinion, what does he stand for?You know that the Society forbids any member to be on this board for any reason whatsoever! That includes witnessing or even moderating discussions, even if they are bible-based or to set matters straight.
I disagree with this strait-jacket approach, as we are all responsible to God on an individual basis. So to restrain someone from proclaiming any reasonable thoughts which do not go against bible standards, one could hardly be called an apostate of sorts. Or could it be perhaps that the Society is afraid that people will discover things about the organization, which would otherwise remain hidden? You have posted 1255 comments on this board. Considering the aforementioned comments of mine, for what reason are YOU here on this board Yadirf?
My last quote still stands in that Jehovah looks at out hearts: we are responsible for our own salvation. Remember that only God can read our hearts and discern our deepest thoughts, so consequently let him that thinks he is standing beware that he does not fall. The outcome of God's wrath would be a surprise to all of us, very much so indeed....
