What i know, for sure, is that no matter what they “see”, i will have to get up and go to work tomorrow. Lemme know if something changes that from 14 quadrillion photons in a circular flat pond red shifted expanding universes ago….

My Prediction Regarding New Space Telescope That Will See Back to 100 Million Years From the Big Bang
by Sea Breeze ina new space telescope launched a few days age that will supposedly be able to see to within 100 million years of the big bang.
wow... only 100 million years from the big bang.
that is pretty early given the 12 billion year age of the universe assigned by scholars who adhere to naturalism.

Dimwits running the show

Your post made me chuckle as I’m sure all of us have seen this play out. There is a fascinating book on the topic called “the peter principle” that theorizes on how this happens.

Omg wait….. how could we forget Superman then original movie???? It spawned every superhero since and set the gold standard for 30 years. Reeve was, in my young mind, superman. As a kid, with god as my witness, i wore a cape under my clothes. I have rewatched it a 1000 times and it still holds up as a gem. And the sequel was just as good, likely because they were filmed as one movie, although it crosses decades.

Im always happy to have the new hope/empire discussion, they both kick ass, and i like aliens more than alien, hands down. Not all sequels blow. Just most. And no trilogy or beyond has ever held up or gotten better.
i look forward to your 80’s choices. Rambo is, arguably, one of the best acting performances ever. If you can watch the town burn while rambo has an emotional break down and not feel bad for rambo, your heart is made of stone…… then comes rambo 2. But im getting ahead of myself, i will await your 80’s discussion!

You have chosen wisely on all counts.
i do however have one serious problem with virtually all your (correct) choices: ss this is the era that spawned “the sequel” which has essentially ruined modern movies.
Rocky 1 was unbelievably good, something we forget by the time rocky 4 and beyond come around.
Alien was fantastic and was followed up by the also fantastic aliens…. But by the time ripley is cloned with alien blood we forget that greatness.
Jaws was a fantastic, if not factually flawed, story that gave life to everyones fears of the unknown in the ocean…. By the end of jaws two when he feeds the shark a power cable nobody can take it seriously, to speak nothing of the all time lows found in “jaws the revenge”
the godfather one and two are still cinematic masterpieces that are beloved and quoted as often as often any other movies… but also spawned godfather 3
halloween? Please. Self explanatory.
and of course, both the greatest and most heartbreaking of all, Starwars. We go from ben kenobi sacrificing himself, Vader being the most badass to ever badass and luke blowing the death star to f***ing ewoks defeating the empire with rocks. F***ing. Ewoks.
i look back at those great movies and rewatch them even now with fondness, but there is always a tinge of sadness knowing what they spawned.

I agree with Simon. While there is an element of coercion in the form of social stigma it is not true coercion in the form of “an offer you cant refuse”. Even as active fully believing JW (pionsneer, bethelite, ms, elder) i never shunned as i could not square it with the lord jesus teachings. It is and always was a choice.

The Watchtower—Study Edition | January 2022
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower—study edition | january 2022. during the great tribulation, gog of magog’s forces may try to assault us in our homes.
but we can take comfort in knowing that jesus and his angels are aware of what is happening and will defend us (see paragraph 13).
13. when gog of magog attacks, why will we appear to be vulnerable, but what reason for confidence will we have?

Consider spending less time worrying about your invisible sky daddy and work towards being at peace with your decisions.
If you are good with your course of action your sky daddy will be too
