Faithful Slave is not appointed yet - only in the future
by TheWonderofYou indid you read this study articel in which the slave says it is not appointed yet?.
excerpt from study articel 13 7/15 p 8. so there is good reason for us to understand matthew 24:46, 47 to mean that jesus will arrive to appoint the faithful slave over all his belongings at that time in the future during the great tribulation.

Timeline across the tribulation
Hence how the appointment of the FDS over all his belongings is supposed to occur “during the great tribulation“ (= end of the wicked world), all other end-time-events - first the fall of religion babylon, secondly the coming of the lord, thirdly the judgment with the dying of the goats, fourthly at least the appointment of the slave over all belongings and fifthly in final step the armagedon after the rapture of some anointed would all happen also „during the tribulation", sayeth the watchtower 13 7 /15.
This statement tastes like sweet persuasivness, a logical and comprehensible unique schedule. What a sequence of events, also because it is so dramatic. Especially by positioning the coming/return of the Lord and the appointement as actual event into the timeline of "during the tribulation". Is such a schedule verifiable in the bible?
In the biblical order of writing given by the gospelwriter Matthew the appointment is mentioned only in the shape of a general advice not as event in the timeline.
Quite the contrary is the case in the bible account. It positions the coming of the Lord as the final event in the history „immediately after the tribulation". .....after the great tribulation. Already noted? Take your own bible and look up Matthew 24:29-31.
Mt 24,1-2
announcement of temple destruction
Mt 24,3-14
beginning of the sorrows
Mt 24,15-28
climax of the distress including v.21 „great tribulation“
Mt 24,29-31
of the coming / return of the son of man
„After the tribulations“Mt 24,32-42
parable of an alert host
Mt 24,43-44
parable of the faithful and evil slave
Luke 12:35-48 parable about faithful slave
Luke 21,5-6
announcment of temple destruction
Luke 21,7-19

Luke 21,20-24

Terry: how FRAGILE factual knowledge has become in our modern world
“Knowledge is power." Rather, knowledge is happiness, because to have knowledge - broad, deep knowledge - is to know true ends from false, and lofty things from low. To know the thoughts and deeds that have marked man's progress is to feel the great heart-throbs of humanity through the centuries; and if one does not feel in these pulsations a heavenward striving, one must indeed be deaf to the harmonies of life.”
― Helen Keller, The Story of My LifeKnowledge is Power, said Sir Francis Bacon, who was he? forerunner of empirism, but is empiric knowlege certain? Is it possible to get certainty by usage of logic and experience? Only if someone applies the methods. If not no.
Information in media and even scientific studies are produced with a purpose and an audience in mind. Neutral, original voices have to be checked and verified. The "information age" and "information revolution" has come. More vigilance is necessary. Is this them beginning of a great tribulation or a golden age with 1000 years for silicon valley and photon-quant computer celestical city?
You can google unbiased but google already selects the information for you and youu receive those search results that google assumes fit to your interest.
I simple joked Terry, I agree.

I cant stand this foolishness, i am not willing to read everything. It doesnt convince me, thankfully!
Such meshes of lies or the direct-markting guys could never convince me. But I like conspiracy theories that sound more sophiscated like freemasionary, do you have such ones too. ;-)
I saw a wonderful film "mysterious palace" about Schönbrunn palace in Vienna in a series about men, myths and legends. The subject was the obvious cooperation between the queen Maria Theresia and the freemasions when the castle was built, what resulted in many freemasion elements and symbols in the buildings and art throughout the castle and palace garden, the emperors pavillon and gloriette, You find obeliscs with images of egypt godess Isis, and replica hyroglyphs over the fountain, in the baroque garden you find elements of kabala, you will find the reproduction of a roman ruin, and a aligned park until the leaves. Statues of Brutus and Lucretia could be a symbol of the revolution against the monarchy. Many creative questions and conclusive answers.

Why do witnesses feel the need to put JW ORG on all their social media sites?
by stuckinarut2 inhave you all noticed the obsession witnesses have of putting jw.org on all their social media sites like facebook, twitter, instagram etc?.
so many put it in their bio section...like some sort of loud proclamation to other witnesses that they are righteous and spreading the message.. it's also very lazy.
now with no personal effort at all, they can just say jw.org and be "witnessing".

Because it has become a dawned trend in the peer group.

What is truth?
by Heisenberg inwell, i have been lurking on this site for several months and i recently decided to join as a member.
i have made several observations and would like to make a few comments.. first, i am perplexed by the attitude of many on this site that are either former or active (but apostate) jws.
they seem to have a strong hatred for the wts and also for rank and file jws.

Brief summary for busy ones (who live in the endtime) of the subject, considering your comments and notes with a really broad variety of views.
Q: Is the FDS already appointed? Scripture Matthew 24,45-51
A: NO
Reasons
- because the slave itself is permanently changing its view about the own identity (once all bethelits who slaved away making books were treated as FDS)
- not completely, because there were 2 appointments and only the second would be over all belongings.
- its only a parable anyway – Peter in Luke 12:41(Q behind: Is there any real spiritual appointment as oversight given to the FDS. A. Perhaps no.)
- it supposedly was used only as transition into the next chapter (from 24 to 25) and was overrated, and was used in the context as general counsil only and as answer to the question in Matthew 24,3 about the endtime and return of christ.
- An actual wise servant wouldn't look like a Tele-evangelist
- would not empower itself at the cost of lives and deaths only to think of being subservient
- a wise servant would not be attacked of a rise of lawsuits and loss of tax-exempetion, those things should happen only to false religions with unwise leaders.
- supposedly the parable of the slave + the coming/return of Jesus served the purpose of fuelling the „christ“-movement and everything has no meaning without establishing the catolic faith
- it cannot be already appointed „over all belongings“ at all before Jesus' return because such a reward is only awaited for the time after the memorial of jesus death and the handing over of the symbols at the memorial would have ceased. (=until he arrives) (order of events: 1. coming/return 2. reward)
- the intended audience was supposedly the apostels
- a real appointment would be big disappointment on earth if and when during the tribulation shortly before armageddon the anointed faithul servant would die and be raptured. ( would lead to the assumption that the appointment inclueds the heavenly reward)
If I would appoint a winner, i would like to select:
An actual wise servant wouldn't look like a Tele-evangelist ;-) -

Its really time for the changing organisation to change. Who will pass this change? The members of the little christian group called jehovah witnesses are worth for a change that leads to improvement. They are after all a random phenomenon. But there is room for improvement in this changing organisation. And change starts often in little groups. It could have a big mass effect! Good luck!

My train of thought would lead to the next logical but unimaginable and unbearable burden of responsibility for the faithful slave (group leading JWs) inmidst of the great tribulation.
Clear is that the FDS receives the authority over "all belongings" of Jesus Christ only in the great tribulation and not before. What would that mean?
That the FDS would be jointly responsible with Jesus Christ for destroying the false religion = to plan the attack, by usage of the United Nations and judging over the goats as co-judges [btw are not the false religions a fraction of the quantity goats?]. It could even be a human cooperation between FDS and United Nations forces to destroy false religion, in a manner of speaking. I think nobody likes such an interpretation.
What did we learn? If you are appointed over all belongings by Jesus himself you cant choose only the lucky side.
Dont they catch what they are teaching?First, false religion will be destroyed....
when the United Nations (the modern-day “disgusting thing”) attacks Christendom (which is holy in the eyes of nominal Christians) and the rest of Babylon the Great. ...when the United Nations attacks Babylon the Great. (paragraph 19)We concluded that those who rejected the Kingdom message and who died before the start of the great tribulation would die as goats—without the hope of a resurrection.
