Today on 4/11, 2017, this is the night,

The jewish community is celebrating the second Seder meal after nightfall as part of the Passover. Jews are eating matzah (unleavended flat bread), bitter herbs and drink four cups of wine.

While they celebrate gods mercy at home with the family, JW taking part in a very boring assemlby and waiting for the most important moment, when the symbols are passed from one member to the next and if someone decided to eat and drink. JW are celebrating this evening the "Lords Evening Meal" or "Memorial"

JW try to understand the recipes for the crackers and the deeper sense of this meal but it is very strange for many, because they have only to pass to symbols to the next attendent without eating crackers and without eating wine. Doing so is in the most cases scrutinised.

Although brave JW women have to cook the crackers, as this film shows and are lucky ones, they are mostly not allowed to eat them. The unfermented cakes, bread or crackers are eaten by self-appointed "anointed".

Once there was a dispute with the chief priest and Pharasees
Once Jesus told a parable with a son who was killed in which the sense was the obidience and bearing fruit, what is also in the Gospel of thomas.

Mark, Mattew, Luke later put the parable in a the scene with the highpriest, what was the interpretation of the church. it was also connect with the "Jesus -cornerstone" idea.

I dont know if this parabel and Matt. 21 is part or has to be interpreted as "passion" scene or if it is only a parable about the kingdom....item of further research.

(65) He said, "A kind man owned a vineyard, and put it in the hands of cultivators for them to cultivate, so that he might get its produce from them. He sent his slave so the cultivators might give the produce of the vineyard to the slave. They seized, beat, and all but killed his slave, and the slave went and spoke to its owner. Its owner said, 'Perhaps they did not recognize it (the slave),' and he sent another slave. The cultivators beat the other slave. Next the owner sent his son and said, 'Perhaps they will show respect for my son.' Those cultivators, since they recognized that it was he who was heir to the vineyard, seized him and killed him. Whoever has ears should listen!"

However the "killing of the Son" is included also in this version. Therefore supposedly the story or parable has a very early origin. The other gospel writers put the parable in a scene - the dispute with the pharaseans and highpriest - and write that they understood that they were meant as evil tenants, what in the Gospel of Thomas is not the case though.

However the "The killing of the son" part of the story may have been part of the original saying of the 1st century church reflecting and giving sense to Jesus death. But in the interpreation of the parable the death of Jesus is not the main aspect at all.

Most commentaries write that it turns about a lession of the kingdom of God, namely that God awaits his people to bear fruits in the vineyard and living in the kingdom means living as we had only the last chance too to show respect for what he gifted us as our portion of his vineyard.

Examplary comment:
God is in the parable also pictured as "winegrower" who knows of the fail of the vineyard Israel (Isa 5) Once more God lets decide the people if they want to shape their lifes in accordance with God.But as in the parable of Adam and Eve who secretly ate what was not entitled to them, here men publicly and forced want to take life and its fruits in their hands. Both times the human wish to be "heirs of God" ends in death and expulsion, there from the paradise, here from the vineyard. Although this time even the "Son" was sent they forgot that without God they would have harvested nothing.
The parable is a story about a often newly granted chance.

Go bags?

i heard recently that there was a talk given at the kh about having a 'go bag' ready because the big 'a' must be soooo close as evidenced by syria and the russian jobo thing.. does anyone know if this 'go bag' thing is substantiated in publications or just a local nut job being paranoid and attention seeking?.

i also wonder about this 'go bag' thing, apparently, you need to make sure your biscuits (that's cookies to my over the pond friends), are not out of date.

don't carry water, it's too heavy.. too many questions do i have.

A single passage that maybe be a last straw like I had also my straws. If one cant imagine that killing the son was god's PURPOSE, one will find many of such passages even in the bible, the bible is actually a jewish book in general and the jewish picture of God, which is reflected in the parables of the bible, was not the same as JW have.

Animals, Blood, Food, and JW Beliefs

i'm just thinking aloud here.

i watched a show yesterday and they were talking about how the largest mammals of the sea (whales) fed on such small creatures (plankton) rather than eating some other large creatures.

anyway, it got me thinking about how as jws we thought that in paradise animals would all be herbivores, that they would no longer eat other animals.

If man was created in gods image than WHY man so fast made problems?

Answer: Because he didnt function in the role as chesspiece in the game of sovereignty.

The Creator spoke to Adam and instructed him on how to show his obedience. Adam also learned how to take care of his needs and how to care for the animals and the land.

God " instructed him on how to show his obedience." God is in the innerst a dictatorial god
As dictator god he leads in a dictatorial style and makes order and wants us to be submissive slaves class members.
As dictator "god" he is interested in his "Sovereignty" on the first place, its his highest goal, its the game of the unviverse, all have to take part and are chesspieces in the game of sovereinty.
Adam sinned so fast because he didnt understand the lession in obedience, that he was part of big game.
The universal family needs order and obedience.
Jehovah is the universal family head that deserves respect and honor.
"That perfect man would need to be loyal to Jehovah and be willing to give his life in exchange for doomed humanity." - mankind is doome
Jehovah also instruct his son Jesus how to show obedience and to function, to live up to his role in the sovereignty game.

19 Gratitude for the ransom should motivate us to do all we can to make others aware that they can benefit from that priceless gift. People need to know that the ransom is the means by which Jehovah lovingly offers all mankind the prospect of everlasting life. Still, the ransom accomplished even more than that. The next article will consider how Jesus’ sacrifice also addresses the moral issues that were raised by Satan back in the garden of Eden.

WT Society Creates the Atmosphere which Spawns Child Abuse in Congregations

been thinking about this lately after almost 14 years out of the jw cult myself.

when you think of the language used within the jehovah's witness organization in such a closed society environment in how the wt society promotes almost absolute " trust " in the elders , the governing body, and trust even in the " friends " in the congregation themselves- is it any wonder that unscrupulous child molesters can enter any congregation pretending to be " spiritual " and take advantage of unsuspecting children or the parents ?

think about it : an individual is judged as a " spiritual " person within the jw organization based on what wt functions or duties they are good at performing.

In this ideological frame of a completely surrendered, open minded sheeps the disfellowshipment (DF) has a perfect fitting role in the system of funcionalized obidience.

On one hand disfellowshipment is not really so much a chastidy method for healing a weak charakter than it is useful to control „the performing of the WT-functionalism“. It doesnt play so much role in reality what kind of character-problem one admits, how fast and if one repents at all internallly, but what counts is to show publicly that everything is okay, to perform activity. Not to perform in the boundaries of this system of WT-functionalism is seen as "disobidience".

On the other hand disfellowshipment is the ideal measure that makes the ideological system of trusting a „good associtation“ complete. In fact through the complete separation of the fellows from the disfellowshipped the impression appears for the sheep of being in a safe haven in the congregation, that the good assosiation is yet more clean, yet more trustworthy if its protected by the chastidy of disfellowshipmment. The fellows so close ranks and trust only the fellows who are good association.

An offender would try to function and to remain so in good standing. The victim would funtion and try to obey and hear to the elders and not be loud but silent, because disobidience is worse than a sin.

The offender has to play the innocent because he doesnt want to loose the only power he has namely observe the funtions of those who fear him, because he has no real friends, but only functions, he doesnt want to loose his authority and functions and tries to misuse them to protect the position if necessary. He wants to remain good association and spiritual leader for the other family-substitute friends.

The victim likewise wants to remain within the bounders of "good association" and keeps silent not to loose its good standing or because this would be against the order or could end in disfellowshipment.
