To those taking a stand and not attending the Memorial tonight
by doubtfull1799 ini salute you.
many of you, like me, are probably under enormous emotional pressure, whether from a lingering false sense of guilt from your indoctrination, whether from "invitations," and assumptions that you'll naturally be coming, or whether from outright emotional blackmail, even begging and pleading.
i am thinking of you whoever you are, all of you, even though i don't know you in person.

Who Will Bring Relief?
Paul explains that Christ’s spirit-anointed disciples have a special role in undoing the harm caused by Adamic sin. Jehovah “chose us in union with [Christ],” says Paul, to rule with Jesus in his heavenly Kingdom. Explaining this further, Paul says that Jehovah “foreordained us to the adoption through Jesus Christ as sons to himself.” (Ephesians 1:4, 5) Of course, Jehovah did not choose, or foreordain, them as individuals. He did, however, foreordain a class of faithful and devoted people who would share with Christ in undoing the harm that Satan the Devil, along with Adam and Eve, brought on the human family.—Luke 12:32; Hebrews 2:14-18.
What an amazing thing! In his original challenge against God’s sovereignty, Satan implied that God’s human creation was flawed—that given enough pressure or incentive, they would all rebel against God’s rule. (Job 1:7-12; 2:2-5) In a dramatic demonstration of “his glorious undeserved kindness,” Jehovah God in time showed his confidence in his earthly creation by adopting some from Adam’s sinful family to be his spiritual children. Those in this small group would be taken to serve in heaven. For what purpose?—Ephesians 1:3-6; John 14:2, 3; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; 1 Peter 1:3, 4.
These adopted sons of God, says the apostle Paul, become “joint heirs with Christ” in his heavenly Kingdom. (Romans 8:14-17) As kings and priests, they will have a part in freeing the human family from the pain and suffering it now experiences. (Revelation 5:10) True, “all creation keeps on groaning together and being in pain together until now.” Soon, though, these specially chosen sons of God will follow Jesus Christ into action, and all obedient humans “will be set free from enslavement to corruption and have the glorious freedom of the children of God” once again.—Romans 8:18-22.
Without the help of these adopted sons the benefit of the greatest gift that god ever gave to mankind, the ransom sacrifice even of his own son, would somehow not be effective.
Jesus ransom blood alone is not effective enough, there is needed some help of the 144.000.....
His ransom sacrifice provides the legal basis for Jehovah to adopt some of Adam’s descendants into his heavenly family and to relieve humankind of the consequences of Adamic sin, without undermining confidence in His laws and principles
Here the ransom is not the greatest gift to mankind but only a legal basis for Jehovah, legally necessary for 1. adopting some familymembers and 2) relieving the rest of mankind.

When even a sister from the anointed remnant took a blood transfusion, was not disfellowshipped and could take the emblems:
ThomasCovenant wrote7 years ago
Watchtower 1st August 1958 page 478
''One of Jehovah's witnesses who claims to be of the anointed remnant recently went to the hospital and took a blood transfusion, voluntarily. Should she be allowed to partake of the emblems of bread and wine at Memorial time?-R. J., United States.
We, of course, regret with you that this sister who professes to be one of the anointed remnant took a blood transfusion voluntarily during her stay in the hospital. We believe that she did the wrong thing contrary to the will of God. However, congregations have never been instructed to disfellowship those who voluntarily take blood transfusions or approve them. We let the judgment of such violators of God's law concerning the sacredness of blood remain with Jehovah, the Supreme Judge. The only thing that can be done in the cases of individuals like this is to view them as immature and therefore not capable of taking on certain responsibilities, hence refusing to make certain assignments of service to such ones.
Since an individual is not disfellowshiped because of having voluntarily taken a blood transfusion or having approved of a dear one's accepting a blood transfusion, you have no right to bar this sister from the celebration of the Lord's Evening Meal. As an anointed member of Christ's body she is under orders and command by Christ Jesus to partake. Whether she is unfaithful as to what she professes to be by virtue of taking the emblems of the Lord's Evening Meal is something for Jehovah God to determine himself. His judgment begins at the house of God. It is not for you or anyone serving the Memorial emblems to act as the judge, but to allow the emblems to go to anyone in the audience as these are passed along in the normal manner of letting each one have the opportunity to partake''

Today on 4/11, 2017, this is the night,
The jewish community is celebrating the second Seder meal after nightfall as part of the Passover. Jews are eating matzah (unleavended flat bread), bitter herbs and drink four cups of wine.
While they celebrate gods mercy at home with the family, JW taking part in a very boring assemlby and waiting for the most important moment, when the symbols are passed from one member to the next and if someone decided to eat and drink. JW are celebrating this evening the "Lords Evening Meal" or "Memorial"
JW try to understand the recipes for the crackers and the deeper sense of this meal but it is very strange for many, because they have only to pass to symbols to the next attendent without eating crackers and without eating wine. Doing so is in the most cases scrutinised.
Although brave JW women have to cook the crackers, as this film shows and are lucky ones, they are mostly not allowed to eat them. The unfermented cakes, bread or crackers are eaten by self-appointed "anointed".
How to make the Crackers for memorial which are only for the anointed

I added to my comment therefore the interpreation as "I give you a last chance".
I would understand it so: both things have happened and are true
- Once there was a dispute with the chief priest and Pharasees
- Once Jesus told a parable with a son who was killed in which the sense was the obidience and bearing fruit, what is also in the Gospel of thomas.
Mark, Mattew, Luke later put the parable in a the scene with the highpriest, what was the interpretation of the church. it was also connect with the "Jesus -cornerstone" idea.
I dont know if this parabel and Matt. 21 is part or has to be interpreted as "passion" scene or if it is only a parable about the kingdom....item of further research.
Nevuala wrote:
My only takeaway from this parable is, that landowner is out of his fucking mind for not evicting the tenants and turning them in to the police for murdering his servants the first time it happened, and then for sending more servants and his son to certain death. In one version of the parable Mark12 1-12 God is killing the tenants V9.
"What [then] will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come, put the tenants to death, and give the vineyard to others." (NABRE)

This is the passage from the "Gospel of Thomas", edited by Benton Layton
http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/thomas/gospelthomas65.html
http://gnosis.org/naghamm/thomas_poxy.htm
LAYTON
(65) He said, "A kind man owned a vineyard, and put it in the hands of cultivators for them to cultivate, so that he might get its produce from them. He sent his slave so the cultivators might give the produce of the vineyard to the slave. They seized, beat, and all but killed his slave, and the slave went and spoke to its owner. Its owner said, 'Perhaps they did not recognize it (the slave),' and he sent another slave. The cultivators beat the other slave. Next the owner sent his son and said, 'Perhaps they will show respect for my son.' Those cultivators, since they recognized that it was he who was heir to the vineyard, seized him and killed him. Whoever has ears should listen!"However the "killing of the Son" is included also in this version. Therefore supposedly the story or parable has a very early origin. The other gospel writers put the parable in a scene - the dispute with the pharaseans and highpriest - and write that they understood that they were meant as evil tenants, what in the Gospel of Thomas is not the case though.
However the "The killing of the son" part of the story may have been part of the original saying of the 1st century church reflecting and giving sense to Jesus death. But in the interpreation of the parable the death of Jesus is not the main aspect at all.
Most commentaries write that it turns about a lession of the kingdom of God, namely that God awaits his people to bear fruits in the vineyard and living in the kingdom means living as we had only the last chance too to show respect for what he gifted us as our portion of his vineyard.
Examplary comment:
God is in the parable also pictured as "winegrower" who knows of the fail of the vineyard Israel (Isa 5) Once more God lets decide the people if they want to shape their lifes in accordance with God.But as in the parable of Adam and Eve who secretly ate what was not entitled to them, here men publicly and forced want to take life and its fruits in their hands. Both times the human wish to be "heirs of God" ends in death and expulsion, there from the paradise, here from the vineyard. Although this time even the "Son" was sent they forgot that without God they would have harvested nothing.
The parable is a story about a often newly granted chance. -

Go bags?
by punkofnice ini heard recently that there was a talk given at the kh about having a 'go bag' ready because the big 'a' must be soooo close as evidenced by syria and the russian jobo thing.. does anyone know if this 'go bag' thing is substantiated in publications or just a local nut job being paranoid and attention seeking?.
i also wonder about this 'go bag' thing, apparently, you need to make sure your biscuits (that's cookies to my over the pond friends), are not out of date.
don't carry water, it's too heavy.. too many questions do i have.

A single passage that maybe be a last straw like I had also my straws. If one cant imagine that killing the son was god's PURPOSE, one will find many of such passages even in the bible, the bible is actually a jewish book in general and the jewish picture of God, which is reflected in the parables of the bible, was not the same as JW have.
