I believe one Hounder has an agenda. I have been to 3 meetings thus far. 2 meetings with 2 Elders present, then a 3rd with 2 Elders and 2 more brothers persent who were somewhat involved. So hasn't there been three meetings with a total of 8 witnesses? The " 2 witness " rule has been followed 4 times! So this will be the 4th meeting. I am so curious though..... this is a tough one.

KS, your post was too logical!! Still I appreciate good advice, thank you. I did look into some legal sites to get a better understanding of slander, just in case. Evidence does no good if the " judges " will not consider it.

Thanks everyone.
E.E, this is not judicial....yet. They want to get a pulse on my feelings about the " Slave " and the " Organization ". I have already told them that I respect anyone trying to do the right thing, but no man, or group of men is infallible, including the FDS. I also presented WT articles to that effect. I don't really know what else I can add to the discussion, perhaps I will just repeat myself. My goal is to get some breathing room for now. I am not ready to pull a " Raypublisher " at this time. I don't think my immediate family is ready for that. I want to help them reason about TTATT if I can. If I go in guns a blazin' then I close that door. It may be un-realistic but I want to shown them that I fear no man, and will not be loyal to men over God's word, and at the same time not escalate this to a judicial process. I want to be honest and draw a line in the sand, but not attack anyone, or give that impression. That may be too tall of an order to fill.

Dreamgolfer, thanks. I have read that exact defenition. So it seems my understanding is correct. I guess I am just worried about my " star chamber " meeting. If you control the terminology you control the argument, so I suppose the powers that be can make any charge the want. All I can do is be honest, and see what happens.

What is slander exactly? Is it slanderous to bring attention to something that is factual? Doesn't slander or it's written form " libel " need to be false and contain personal attacks to truly be slanderous? I was told that slander can be true, so therefore I could be guilty of slander. I know having facts on yourside cannot make someone see the truth of a matter if they do not want to, or stop someone from playing the slander card because they can. I will continue to research on my own, but I would appreciate any help offered in the next 24 hrs.

I am impressed by how respectful those people were of JW doctrine even though they disagreed. The felt it was not thier place to ridicule Jehovah's Witnesses, just point out fallacy. All this from " worldy " people who do not even love each other like JW's, who wulda thunk it!!!

Ok... I had to quit listening at 8 minutes, 39 seconds. What a bunch of circular reasoning with emotional appeal, and assumptions. YHWH had promised that Abraham's seed would be like the sands of the sea, right? So Abraham should have know that nothing was going to happen to Sarah, and thier un-born child ( if indeed she was pregnant at the time), also Abraham should have known that he would not die either. Especially if Sarah was not pregnant yet. Abraham, although righteous, seems to have fallen prey to one of the most common snares, FEAR OF MAN. It seems like everything would have worked out just fine had he told the truth about Sarah being his wife. YHWH did promise after all. I am sure that both of those Kings mentioned would have been persuaded to let them go had he told the truth. Think of the witness he could have given! He really caused some problems by assuming he had to decieve these " worldy " people. Telling the truth always works in the long run. So Abraham had to make supplication for people that he screwed by not being honest. Notice what the account really says:

Abimelech was innocent and YHWH knew it! He would have never messed with Sarah if Abraham had spoken the truth in the first place! Typical Distric Convention emotional appeal by a charismatic personality cherry-picking verses and telling you what to think and feel about them.

they were not arrogant and they were not mean spirited, but of course we all know they also would not budge from the jw brainwashed beliefs they are sworn to uphold.
i let my light shine, and within two minutes of sitting down with them was no longer nervous.. .
