  A JWS retirement home gets abandoned in a irresponsible way.

  here is video of one jw retirement care home that was abandoned leaving a whole lot of unused junk that should been properly removed .. what happened is a big question, it appears it was in radcliffe manchester uk.. another jah jireh home posted a cost of $3020.00 per month, so not for the poor jws out there.

  does anyone out there know about this abandoned place ?.

  At least back in the day, Dubs had to perform mental exercise to flip through various volumes and check footnotes and references in order to defend their beliefs.

  Those days are gone.

  Not only are they spoon-fed the spiritual equivalent of celery which may take more calories to ingest that it provides, but they are actively discouraged from defending their beliefs. Is it any wonder they are getting dumber??

  Well, the nu-light will be that “evidently” Jesus’ invisible inauguration ceremony began in 1914. As we all know, in ancient times an inaugural celebration could last for days, even weeks.

  With 1,000 years being one day to Jeehoober, the timeline is open to interpretation. It’s possible that Jesus has not even begun to rule.

  International Convention this year in St. Louis.......missed opportunity for protesters!

  i attended the international convention this year (to avoid chaos in family life).

  the convention center was right on the middle of downtown st. louis.

  the cult members had to stand in line on the public sidewalk before entering the arena.

  Anyway coming back from my blunder?

  my oldest boy got pissed that i started going back to meetings so i had one last conversation with him as he moved out.

  (only went back to try and not loose whole family) during the conversation things got a bit heated and i mentioned a couple of false prophecies in the bible the rest of family heard so now they think i don’t believe at all.

  guess their right think my going back was just a ruse, yes that’s true to.

  No one can tell you what to do. You have to do what is right for you. If I had stayed, I would have developed a serious mental disorder, or started taking pain meds, or being drunk every chance I got, or all of the above, and I may have jumped from a building.

  In the end, if 8 F-yards in New York are more important to your family than you are, then they don’t deserve you.

  jesus said that he came as a ransom, (matthew 20:28) but according to jw dogma, jesus' ransom gained far more than what was lost – 144,000 immortal king/priests in heaven to be precise!

  You have to keep in mind that those prophetic scriptures were coming from men who were planning on conquering and enslaving more people.

  The King was like, “Prophet! What sayest thou??”

  Prophet: Thinking... “ Let’s see, I get all my BBQ and booty at the temple...what to say?...”

  ” Oh King!! Your offspring will rule to time indefinite as Princes of the Earth!! “

  Its best not to think about any of this very seriously.

  Only the most ignorant will stay in the Org. You have the willfully ignorant and the truly ignorant. How many have a clue as to the actual history and teachings or the long history of scandals and legal battles? They know nothing but propaganda.

  Now we have willfully ignorant parents subjecting children to propaganda, and ignorant converts in poor nations who will pop out kids. This Org is literally becoming an Idiocracy.

  The model is barely sustainable. I would argue that being tax free is the only reason the Org has survived so far. I can’t see them lasting another 100 years. Not unless they start offering real value, even if that is a JW ran University that helps Dubs earn a decent living. Sure, teach Genesis in Science class, but then offer useful classes, or a trade school, something...

  They are killing themselves, but perhaps that’s natural selection at work...

  Think about the baggage you have because you were not only raised a JW, but baptized as a JW, believing that you are a “sinner” and in need of saving via the “Faithful Slave”; baggage that may very well affect your psyche, or soul for the rest of your life.

  You may never, ever, get over it, no matter what you do. It may haunt every relationship, event, dreams, goal, aspirations that you will ever have. How many times have you wanted to “seek great things for yourself”, but gave up before you even tried because of WT programming?? Do you even know?

  That's what WT wizard is saying. You have no clue how f’d up you really are..

  are the witnesses now considered "clergy " ?

  years ago when i was a jw, one of their cornerstone teachings was that they were nothing like babylon the great.

  i remember being taught that the witnesses not using any type of clergy class distinction was proof that they had the right religion.. well, recently we had this article in the local paper, and an elder who was no doubt the presiding overseer tried to use the clergy class excuse to get out of answering questions regarding a child abuse case.

  here is the statement that really got to me.
