he says relaxing is fine and 'im not trying to put a guilt trip on you' but you all need to get busy.

no graciousness at all for the endless volunteer labor they demand for whatever new projects they dream up.

Well, I’m not sure if this is worse than hiring Monica Applewhite or not?? I’m not even shocked at this behavior on their part.

5 or so years ago when I had my existential crisis and learned TTATT, I was shocked at every turn. If you told me tomorrow that the Governing Body ride underground magnetic trains to meet with Reptilians and eat children it would not shock me.

The GB are idiots and they aren’t in charge anyway. I’m not sure who really owns them and I may never know, but they are definitely managed by some entity.

That article, although older, is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard and meant to discourage having a personality.

PZ, you’re right, but the legalistic environment of JWism makes it clear that a Dub can never do enough, and they are constantly reminded of that. The Rank and File only benefit from the ransom by doing, doing, doing for the GB.

No one should be allowed to be cruel in the name of “religion”, and if the courts can shed a spotlight on abhorrent behavior then I’m all for it.

Even if the ruling is overturned it’s better to bring attention to the harmful behavior that these so-called “Christian” and “Charitable” organizations are causing while not paying taxes and hoping for the destruction of the Government.

Agreed. Try this simple test. Give your significant other a gift, and tell them that you love them.

Then make sure to explain that they don’t deserve it, and that you gave it to them because you are so wise and benevolent and you just love the effort they put forth.

Maybe someday, if they work hard enough, they will gain the privilege of the prospect of gaining your love in the truest sense.

Thats what JWs earn, not immortality, but the prospect of eternal life if they do enough for long enough and never make a mistake for all eternity.

Agreed.

This is not a case of light getting brighter, or some type of clarification in understanding an existing doctrine more fully. These are complete opposite teachings which means that the “locusts” have zero prophetic significance as previously taught.

Australian Bethel propose building a media complex

there's a post on exjw reddit stating that the ibsa are planning on building a media operation at the sydney bethel.. the estimated cost is $10 million aud and this in spite of the fact that they still have not joined the redress scheme or attempted in any monetary way of assisting abused victims within the organization.. the link below includes detailed plans.

they will be converting part of the current printery into a media complex.. they also propose to build a theme park in the form of a historical biblical site, including a man made mound and what one person suggests is a temple.. its not surprising that a bunch of old men in new york has dreamed all of this up - film sets in new york, england and now australia.
