  nicola sturgeon's daft plan to introduce a gender bill which allows anyone aged 16 and over to legally change gender without a doctor's diagnosis of gender dysphoria has rightly been stopped by pm rishi sunak.. under the rules of devolvement, the uk government can overrule holyrood if the pm so chooses.. lots of predictable howling form the scotch nuts, with ridiculous claims that rishi is trying to organise a fight with holyrood.

  of course, it's actually the other way round - the snp has been trying to pass this gender bill in order to drive a wedge between scotland and the rest of the uk.. sensibly, rishi has pulled rank on sturgeon and stopped her nonsense.. nicola sturgeon needs to know her place ....

  I disagree Pete. Sex workers are more likely to be sexually assaulted than non-sex workers. Teenagers who go to parties as opposed to staying home are more likely to be sexually assaulted.

  Every gay friend I have is extremely sexually active so they go where other sexually active people go, and alcohol and drugs follow. They have a higher likelihood of being assaulted than I do as I sit at home.

  Trans people, Drag Queens, people with peculiar sexual proclivities are more likely to gravitate towards areas and groups that share those interests and it’s proven that their chances of sexual assault are greater. It has nothing to do with being in the dark shadows where they are forced to be with “perverts.”

  What’s a pervert exactly anyway? If an adult male who enjoys/gets a sexual kick out of dressing like a female isn’t a pervert then what constitutes a pervert? Is it a Minor Attracted Person, at least until that’s “normal”??

  Let’s cut the crap and stop giving minors whose pre-frontal cortexes aren’t even formed chemicals and surgery because they “feel” like they are something else, or because they are uncomfortable in their bodies. True Gender Dysmorphia is rare, what’s happening now is a dangerous trend and time will prove that to be correct. Sadly it will be too late for some.

  Nothing new, just the same old regurgitations as has been pointed out. What’s really funny is that the WTBTS is an excellent example of what we now call “Equity/Inclusion/Representation” in that actual talent and qualifications aren’t needed. The only requirement is spouting the party line and looking the part.

  Agreed. My wife grew up Pentecostal and had the same issues with the fear of Armageddon. It’s an interesting subject considering Humankind has nearly been wiped off the face of the planet a few times. So perhaps in our genetic memory “Armageddon” is always just around the corner.

  Even if we remove what we consider Religion from the equation there are plenty of Climate Change zealots who worship the idea of zero carbon emissions ( utterly impossible by the way ) as part of their cult-like belief system. Seems like for humans “Armageddon” is always looming.

  There seems to be no shortage of people who live in fear of the End… If it’s coming then there’s nothing we can do about it, and we all have our own personal end to look forward to at some point.

  The whole Cis Gender or “Sis” whatever they say is an utterly ridiculous/stupid label that needs to be erased from our culture.

  Let’s think about Trans people and the assault statistic. Isn’t that common sense as these people are most likely to be in situations where assault can occur? For example, are we shocked that Male prostitutes are sexually assaulted more than Heterosexual men? Not really. It’s common sense.

  What’s interesting about people with true Gender dysmorphia is that they are rare, mostly male, and the majority accept their bodies by their 20s but about 80% are Gay. This isn’t new information. What we have now is an agenda being forced upon vulnerable young people who just need an adult to to say, “It’s ok that you feel uncomfortable in your body. Everyone does at some point. You will be ok.”

  Instead we have “Gender Affirming Care” which flies in the face of “Do No Harm” when it comes to helping children navigate the world.

  It amazes me that some people who know that the Governing Body coercing minors into baptism and refusing blood transfusions and wasting their childhood in Field Service amounts to child abuse cannot understand the permanent harm being done to children in the name of Gender Affirming Care..

  I upvote some things that Vidquin shares and I certainly don’t need Rivergang or Joey-Joe Joe to explain anything to me… other than how they expect to produce batteries for EVs without someone raping the environment or groups of people who inhabit areas where rare minerals are to be found.

  I guess they could explain the documentary “Who Killed The Electric Car?” Or explain how mining will take place for all these “Green Solutions.”

  Opinions on the Divine name in the New Testament? + an interesting question

  i am genuinely curious and mainly posting this for research purposes, i do not have enough knowledge on either of these subjects to debate them in any useful manner.. (this information is as far as i am aware and may be incorrect in places)as most know the nwt is known for placing a form of the divine name in the nt (new testament) - while i agree the evidence is significantly weak for it too appear in the nt, a few things must be considered - (from my limited research)rev references the name twice (3:12, 14:1)early copies of the lxx contain the divine name (likely the versions that the nt writers copied?

  stafford has a couple of videos on this subject)it was emphasized over and over the name [divine name, which ever form you prefer] would be "known" (other words used aswell) forever - if this is true, why then go against your own message in some cases and replace it with a surrogate?some also claim the nwt is dishonest for not translating some occurrences of "lord" as the divine name - common ones i notice are: phil 2:10-11, 1pe 3:14-15, heb 1:10yet these all use "lord" as a title not a proper noun, seems to be staunch trinitarians who make this claim most oftenscholar qualifications:why does a scholars qualification's matter?

  YHWH….. what vowels should be inserted??? No one knows…. Obviously “God” doesn’t care or we would know EXACTLY how to pronounce the Divine Name…

  That being said, there is no “J” in Hebrew, so God’s name sure as shit isn’t Jehovah….
