  If nothing else this proves that JW's are not Christian despite their claims. Also, they do not believe the very book the supposedly follow. If you just read those verses it is clear that miraculous events were taking place. NO, no, no, says the WTBTS. We believe that after Christ died there were no more resurrections until after 1914, our man-made calculation. In order to shore up that interpretation we must say that people were evidently hanging around in a graveyard and saw some bodies get ejected from their graves. They don't have enough faith to even believe that when their " Eternal Father " died for them that a few more miracles could have happened.

  if you're a jehovah's witness and you have a child, spouse, or buddy who wants to be baptized, can you baptize them yourself if they request it?

  this is assuming you're a jehovah's witness in good standing.

  Jw's are wacko. Re-baptism? That is probably old light now. I just wonder if there is anything in print that specifically says that baptisms prior to being a JW are invalid? I will keep looking. The problem is that these guys have had 100+ years to cover themselves, AND they make up stuff as they go along, and they don't even follow the rules they make! Some of the O.D book last night, and I don't think I could answer all the baptism questions, it is ridiculous. Corporate and legalistic thinking at it's finest.

  should i try to dissuade my daughter from being baptized?

  she doesn't seem to be in hurry.

  all her " friends " are already baptized, some since early childhood which is ridiculous in my opinion.

  Good point, I appreciate that. Our family is pretty tight and everyone she knows and loves are dubs. I have already given her the 68' article about never growing old. I am going to ask her what her feelings are about it. I just have to get her to realize the GB are just people, and are not to be followed blindly. That would be a major victory that will pay off in the future.

  That is correct Blondi. Why all the fuss about people having to be in the JW " ARK/ORG " for survival? If Christ is really the Judge and knows hearts then he will do what is just. There is not a damn thing a human could do against an all powerful Spirit, whatever decision he makes. It seems like you are better off not knowing anything. Back to the question at hand, what if you had a baptized annointed sister and an unbaptized brother? Could the sister wear a headcovering and baptize the Brother? What if this annointed sister had to baptize only sisters? Are they all going to die because she cannot baptize them? If she did would she sin against the holy spirit?

  I watched the first show and if was really fascinating. So the illustrations of the parallel world crashing together to make our Universe raises more questions for me. These physicists are trying to slove the problem of the singularity. The singularity if I understand correctly was what they thought banged in the first place, even though they didn't know why or how. So has the singularity hypothesis been replaced by the parallel worlds colliding? IF that is the case, what collided to make whatever collided to make whatever collided to make the parallel worlds that collided to make our Universe? Saying that some parallel worlds were just there to collide to make our universe seems like a stretch. Where did those paralell world come from? What caused the cause that caused the cause..? How can we have a " universe of collision " ? What were the " hands that collided?

  We had a CO say the same thing. He said, " Some feel the Organization is like prison. Well, the bars are wide enough that you can leave if you want. Just remember the roaring lion outside.". Uhhhh? They act like you could leave if you wanted, but they would make your life Hell. Uncle Sam! Please tax these a-holes into submission!! Make them help homeless people! Do something!!!!

  How often did you entertain the "Traveling Overseers", and did you regret it afterwards?

  i found taking the traveling overseers out for a meal, to be a waste of time.

  our literature regulary spoke of the upbuilding talk the local congregations received by entertaining our brothers.

  now some of the modern cos look at their telecommunication devices, talk of things not related to our ministry or phone it in.

  Sorry for being sceptical. I am just a rank-an-file and have never had any position except cleaning bathrooms at the conventions. Please tell me what I can do to help my wife. Is there a specific order to give information to someone? I hate to just throw information and overwhelm her. I have A daughter too, please any help would be appreciated!

  I wonder if I could get in trouble for Wii-fit yoga? I am sure JW's play it. It is pretty dumb to pull your kid out of school for stretching and breathing.
