  AI Generated Art - Impact on Artists

  unless you've been hibernating under a rock for the last couple of years, you're probably aware that ai is the new hotness.. chatgpt gets a lot of attention but equally amazing is how capable ai is at generating art.

  if you'd been ask to name anything that would be the last holdout for humans, creative arts such as writing, painting, and music would probably be some of the things at the top of the list.. yet those seem to be the things that ai can do best.. it's fascinating to use the tools, but one thing you realize is that they are just combining patterns and shapes, there isn't yet any real "intelligence", artificial or otherwise.. as an example, you can ask it to create a painting in the style or a particular artist, with a whole raft of things you want to include.

  it will do a great job on first glance, but can often give people more arms or fingers than is normal, and lamp-posts can grow to different heights, like trees.

  Not true Fishy-Face, at least not here in the USA. There are limits, of course. Self-defense can be violent, but that doesn’t legally make me an assailant for not being the victim as defending oneself is legal.

  If I practice some vigilante/Batman style justice then legally I would be viewed as an assailant. I won’t argue with that. I just won’t get caught…

  Nothing warrants shooting innocent people, but I disagree that nothing the WT does warrants violence.

  If my child was damaged for life by a sexual predator and the local Elders could’ve prevented it, then someone is getting a beating. The Pedo would definitely not escape without a significant beating.

  Some people are so afraid of “violence” that they allow violence to become rampant. Sorry folks, violence is a part of life. If you aren’t capable of violence when necessary then you will be a victim.

  Well, just do some research on how many people are watching “The Chosen” and you’ll realize that JW growth is a statistical impossibility at this point.

  Even non-religious folks are more interested in Jesus than in the Watchtower, which leaves all the potential growth to born-in members and new converts, aka not the best and brightest…
