say a person during a shepherding visit with the elders were to simply state that they had lost their faith in god because of the subject of suffering-- would the elders still have grounds to disfellowship them even if the person did not actually commit a sinful offense?
instead of diving into all the errors, false prophecies, and lies advanced by the organization can somebody simply say, "i have lost faith in jehovah" and walk away without being publically denounced?

by Monsieur inhas anybody here experienced a bonafide, real, true incident in whicy 'demons' actually interacted with you or did something 'supernatural' that left you convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that satan and his demons exist??.

@Mad Sweeney, I don't know why you have to constantly reassure us of your views as nobody has for it. Sounds like you have you keep repeating this to yourself for fear of actually believing it. Again, I don't say this to convince you or anyone else, I am merely relaying something that I myself felt was real. I understand how ridiculous it can sound to skeptics because I myself was skeptical but no psychological analysis or study I've read yet has factually or scientifically proven paranormal activity as false. I can't prove it to you anymore than you can disprove it to me. If you don't have an experience, move on and post on another thread.

I've had an experience but I don't expect people to believe it haha. It's one of the main reasons I am agnostic rather than athiest. Just because some paranormal incident occurs doesn't mean the Judeo-Christian "demons" of the bible caused it. I have no idea what it was or what caused it, but I can say without a doubt it was real.

Baptism: Anointed Christian Ritual?

according to these 2 scriptures:.
1 cor 12:13 - "for we were all baptized by one spirit so as to form one body--whether jews or gentiles, slave or free--and we were all given the one spirit to drink.".

villagegirl please re-read my original post. This thread is relating to the born-again practice of baptism being performed upon the non-anointed class. We are merely pointing out that the WT is not consistent with their very own theology. Baptism should not be performed on members of the other sheep if they are not born-again christians. Its symbolism is no different than partaking of the bread and the wine.

reslight2, thanks for some clarifications. This has been a little cloudy for me as I have read conflicting information with regards to Russell's definition of Armageddon. I have to agree with AndDontCallMeShirley that you have used a lot of speculative words for arguing what Russell had in mind with chronology. He was the Faithful Slave and The Watchtower when he was alive. Everything published up until October 31, 1916 were his direct words and ideas.

I understand your frustration. Baptisms made after pentacost 33 CE would include and require the holy spirit. Nothing in scripture indicates that baptism has reverted back to anything less. It is a born again ritual.

Prologos this sounds reasonable but what scriptures back up the idea that the disciples were originally baptizing outside of the body of Christ? Also what scriptures show that baptism in the first century contained 2 separate meanings or hopes? I can see the baptisms of John the Baptist being evidence to this but the Society themselves say all those in the 1st century were anointed by holy spirit, before and after Jesus.
