Also the Watchtower was publishing a spiritistic book during and after their 1919 appointment, "Angels and Women". Research it and have a great day!

Transfusion and Eating no difference?
by Marvin Shilmer intransfusion and eating no difference?.
today i added a new article to my blog addressing what watchtower says in public view about transfusion versus eating compared to what it admits in private about transfusion and eating.
its short and sweet, and of course documented.

Speaking of WT apologists... Greg Stafford was one of the biggest apologist for the WT, then this very subject alone turned him against the Society. His argument against the blood doctrine is one of the best ones i've read. Stafford documents through published medical research that the body does not eat or digest transfused blood but rather the body runs the blood almost indefinitely throughout the body acting as an organ. I would recommend you read some of his stuff Ethos. www.elihubooks.com

DISPUTE THIS KNOW-IT-ALLS!!!
by DATA-DOG ini just came from the meeting and was told that the new world translation is the best in the world according to jason beduhn.
the nwt does go all the way back to the original languages.
the nwt does not change words to support doctrines.

BeDuhn's book is a nice read, but he has stated in several emails that he disagrees with many NWT passages that were translated in support of doctrines. He admits in his book that the NWT is not free of bias. BeDuhn is a New Testament scholar who disagrees with the Trinity, the one bible who supports his view is the NWT, its as simple as that. BeDuhn graduated from Harvard Divinity School, where such teachings like the Trinity is heavily disected and historically put in perspective. I know this from reading several articles against the Trinity from a Harvard graduate and former paster turned muslim Dr. Jerald Dirks.
Dirks recalls his time at Harvard and mentioned that most who graduate from the Divinity school no longer come away with a belief in the Trinity, which was what lead him to Islam.

A Year in the Apostasy
by Londo111 intoday is my one-year anniversary of joining jwn.
it has been quite a journey from being disfellowshipped and functionally agnostic, to searching for answers about 607 bc and ttatt, to my journey to mainline christianity, to working toward get reinstated and fading, to finding that i still had lost my best friend, but in the end, finding jesus fill that role.
a year ago today i would have never imagined walking into a church, or getting baptized again, this time in the name of the father, son and holy spirit, not in the name of an organization.

by raymond frantz infresh out of the jw.org website http://www.jw.org/en/news/by-region/world/jehovahs-witnesses-office-consolidation/ .
the society as from september 2012 is closing 20 branches worldwide .the best bit is the last paragraph :.
workers are available to spend more time preachingbecause of the mergers, qualified ministers who had been serving in small branches can now concentrate on preaching the good news.. a witness in africa, who was reassigned to the preaching activity, wrote: "adjusting my lifestyle to suit the new circumstances was a challenge during the first few months.

I believe technology has played a major part in the closing of these branch offices. iPads, iPhones and other technology are being heavily utilized in our information age now. Many people now go online for their information and do not limit themselves to laundry mats or random strangers peddling magazines with an agenda. I am a graphics designer and speak with many publishing companies and the common theme amongst them is that the internet is destroying the printing market. The Watchtower will at some point need/have to compete in enemy territory (the internet) to recruit in due time. I am also sure that the Conti case didn't help them out either.
I found this on the open charities website, and I hope no active witness worries themselves over the Watchtower's lack of funds.

Greetings! From an Existent JW!
by Ethos ini'd like extend a greeting to all members of jwn.
i've been a lurking by-stander of this forum for approximately 6 months.
i think this forum's best moments can be attributed to the involvement of actual jw's in doctrinaire discussions and to heated (though not always dialectic) debates.
