No, I just read other books and get my apostate reading in on my iPad. Funny how the holy spirit doesn't prevent me from bringing Satan's literature into the hall.

The reason behind why the ex-JW community can never match Jehovah's Witnesses' success.
by Stand for Pure Worship inan average of five kingdom halls being constructed daily, almost 8 million brothers and sisters, dissemination of bible literature in 595 languages, 111,795 congregations worldwide, distribution of 179 million bibles available in 116 languages, 239 countries where jehovah's witnesses have a presence, etc.. need i go on?.
on the other hand........... crisis of conscience, freeminds, the awaa, jw.net, ummmmmm........hmmm........idk six screens or something?

Successful enough to cause Jehovah's governing body to give a whole symposium on "Human Apostates" world wide.

Things in the Bible that the JWs don't follow/practice.
by UBM101 ini am pretty annoyed to read/hear them saying that they are the true christian religion because they preach, follow the bible bla..bla..bla... let's list down the things in the bible that they don't follow/do.
i'm sure they are plenty.. the fruits of the holy spirit, that's for a start.. .

If you want to get nit picky, they do not follow the Sabbath, which was never abolished. It's part of the 10 commandments for crying out loud.

Are JW's scared of visiting apostate websites?
by yadda yadda 2 ini believe they are.
i think it's their biggest fear besides dying at armageddon.. there's a saying that anyone who reads ray franz's books is never the same again.
i think many jw's secretly know that there is information out there that would almost certaintly seriously damage their truth in their religion, and they are terrified of it.. they would rather keep their heads firmly stuck in the sand than even take a peek at critical information that might begin a slippery slope leading to the collapse of their unique worldview.. jw doing their version of the islam prayer:.

I have the book of Franz here on my bookcase in my room (had it long before i became a Witness) and am familiar with this website longer than you are a member.
Suuuuuurre. Can you tell us what Ray Franz talks about in his book? And which book are we talking about here? Are you aware that you're contradicting yourself? You're a Witness with "apostate" material in your bookcase? Not buying it.

Goodbye JWD/JWN (my last post)
by slimboyfat inafter some considerable thought i have decided that i will no longer post on this forum because i want to return to jehovah.
thank you for all the kindness and many interesting discussions over the years.
i wish you all well in the future and the decisions you make.

SBF, I've always enjoyed your thoughts, I hope whatever decision you make that it remains on YOUR terms.
I'm actually going through a similar situation myself, returning and all. My wife's mother is old in age and our exit could possibly devastate her if we continue -- we do not want it to negativity affect her health. A good number of jws have continued reaching out to us and have remained in our lives throughout this process which has made it even more difficult. We know their friendship is conditional, we know the Watchtower is fraud, but longtime childhood friends are post-poning our exit. So, we have decided to go only on Sunday's and that's it. As an agnostic atheist I would not be able to bare anything more than that. It's remains on our terms and we will not sacrifice anything other than 1.5hr on Sunday mornings.

About my Coming Out...
by braincleaned insince my coming out publicly, i have received a lot of kind words.. i wanted to thank all of you from the depth of my heart.. .
on the other hand, i need to make two things clear:.
i'm often encouraged to use my position to create cartoons or stories for nickelodeon, etc.... i do not have that kind of fire-power.

Use Of Electronic Tablets At Meetings
by Brother Mike ini do.. what does the soceity actually say about them?
(i know some the members of the gb use them) .
what do you think about using them at meetings?

Funny how a few years ago they had a big hubbub at the district convention about staying away from buying the latest gadget/iphone. They even used an exaggerated big ass manual to show how time consuming it all was. Now, that same techology can be used from the very platform they condemned it from. Nice work Watchtower.

4 Letters from the Branch read tonight, no warning from this site
by James Jackson intonight at our meeting we had 4 letters from "the branch" read at our meeting.
i was caught off guard since we usually have an advance warning when these letters are going to be read.
is the watchtower getting better at hiding these letters?.
-
Emery
Thanks James, I missed those letters myself.
