Why not send a copy of the letter to every JW you know by email so they also know why you left instead of leaving it in the hands of 1 or 2 elders to read? If you go out, why not go out with a bang? This not only is something the Watchtower would hate, but it can leave the doors open for people to respond. Who knows, there maybe some around your area curious to the TTATT. Also, as a theological pointer, you could mention Ephesians 4:4 where it shows 1 hope, 1 body.

The elders came by and my DA letter
by Crazyguy inthe lead elder co of my hall said he was going to push for a jc meeting.
i could tell all along all hes interested in is protecting his god the org.. so i'm 90% sure now of going on the offesive and first having a family meeting telling them i'm offically quitting and how its going to play out and how i'll will be shunned even though i have commited no sin.
i also may explain a little of why and how i came to this decision with out bashing the org to much out of respect for my wife.

Finally getting a shepherding call... or so I thought
by Zoos ina few weeks ago i got a visit from a sister from the old congregation.
she was our uber pioneer, fearless, regular and often accompanied by her husband, a ministerial servant.
she didnt know i lived here so it was a brief visit after she found out i had disassociated myself.. i got a knock at the door a few minutes ago and it was her husband this time.

amazing story, thanks for sharing! I am sad that he's old in age and coming to such an emotionally draining and traumatic awakening. Here's hoping he treads carefully out of the borg.

Highlights from the Circuit Assembly!!
by DATA-DOG ingod's word is beneficial ca:.
full time service:.
there are sound reasons for pioneering.. 1) it's the most satisfying work there is.. 2) you cooperate even more fully with the angels and the anointed [ which equals the gb/fds, not sister old mcsingletilldeath.].

Hmmm man, Jehovah is a such a bad investment.
- You have to shun family and friends.
- He doesn't want you to have a real job or have money.
- You can't educate yourself.
- Weekends wasted knocking on doors.
- You have to constantly wait on him no matter the years of injustice.
- You never feel good enough for his standards.
- You have to constantly ask for forgiveness or fear getting stoned by a meteor.
I mean can't he just do what he said he was gonna do 2,000 years ago and help a believer out?
Jehovah = bad investment.

JW's Unanswerable Question & Why Doesn't Everyone Take Them to Task For This?
by Perry inthe one question that is absolutely unanswerable by jehovah's witnesses that actually understand their own doctrines is this:.
can you show me even one new testament scripture that shows how a person can get their sins forgiven while outside of the new covenant?.
most of us are familiar with the one proof scripture that has all the necessary elements tied together into one neat doctrine - matther 26: 27,28:.

Although I am not a believer, I feel this is a great theological argument, thanks Perry.

I want to Believe in Something
by James Jackson inafter serving in an appointed position for over 26 years (21 elder, 5 ms,14 pioneer), i have no more dreams of paradise, bored at the meetings, do not enjoy the field ministry.
the desire to do anything is gone.
i want to believe in something!.

First believe in yourslef, that's a given. Now this is a little outside the box, but depending on what you're really interested in, go to school. Find whatever it is you're passionate about and excel in it now. Like the saying goes, "It's never to late to be what you might have been." I have felt what you've felt. I began examining what I am really into and now am leaning towards being a teacher. Maybe in history or graphic design. Just an idea. Regardless of what happens be there for your family and don't stop progressing in life.

JW morale reaching new low
by kneehighmiah inmany friends i've spoken with are becoming discouraged.
because of this it's becoming tempting to privately share my views with friends, but i know this is still too dangerous.
most witnesses in my circle are intelligent free thinkers.

I have observed similar things but unless something emotionally drastic happens to these people, they will remain in to keep the boat from rocking.

So what types of people actually flourish under the JW regime?
by Julia Orwell ini sure as eggs know which types don't:.
creative types: to do well at a creative industry one must dedicate a lot of time to developing one's talent, and as a jw one simply doesn't have time.
since writing a story or painting a picture doesn't contribute in any way to prestudy, meetings or fs results it's considered useless anyway.

In my local area, I feel people who aren't very gifted or talented in any one thing are normally the ones who succeed in this organization. The organization becomes the one thing they can be good at, and all it really takes is warming up a seat.

CO explaining at Circuit Assembly how to measure neighbourly love
by Daniel1555 ini attended the circuit assembly this weekend.
it was boring as always (except for one positive thing that was said was that we should be gentle especially the elders).. there was one thing that left me absolutely speechless.
the co was explaining how to measure neighbourly love: by the amount of time spent in fieldservice.. the next point he mentioned was that we should strictly adhere to the disfellowshipping arrangments and not find excuses to speak to df family members.. .

How Jehovah's Witnesses benefit those humble enough to study the Bible with them.
by Stand for Pure Worship inexcellent material can be found within the reasoning book, page 328, para.2, 3. occasionally, i see posters make presumptuous comments like, "all you need is the bible", or, "i'm born-again, so there's no need for spiritual assistance from another christian", or,"i'm saved", or my favorite, "jesus talks to me directly.
" on one hand, i can't be overly critical of such ones because they do attempt to read and understand the bible on their own.
(acts 17:11) not to mention they're generally peaceable folks, just self-misguided when erroneously believing that they can go it alone.

I really don't believe SFPW reads anyone's replies to his pro-WT topics.

Does the WTS's past matter?
by M.J. ini know, i'd jump into this topic by saying, "heck yeah.
they're the ones saying they've been appointed by god based on what they were doing back around 1914-1919.
" but i'm trying to help someone out who has reached a roadblock with his wife.
