For me personally, this has been the first time in my life (raised a jw) that i have been able to express my political view points, the war topics have been interesting to me. I think this is true for alot of people here.

Would it be better to have a halt to war topics ?
by Simon inunfortunately, it seems that people are unable or unwilling to debate or discuss the war and stay civil.
people are accused of all sorts of extremes such as "advocating child torture and rape" if you are against the war or "being a mass murderer and war criminal" if you support it.. some people seem to want to be able to post anything they want and it be accepted verbatim while other people are denied an opinion that doesn't agree with theirs.. i for one am sick of it and i suspect that other people are too.. this is supposed to be a site for jw related issues.
not exclusively but primarily.

YELLOW RIBBON : Show your support!
by email ina lot of us can have different opinions about going war... some can support it... other can protest it... and thats what freedom of speech is all about.
but there's a threshold and we're past that threshold... we're at war.
so no matter what your opinions were before or even now no one can change the fact that we are at war and that won't change no matter how much those that oppose it try.

This is an interesting thread for me, I since I once posted that IMHO that political banners didn't belong on a discussion board about JW's...........
And i was bashed for 3 pages, with the end result being that it was Simons board, and he didn't have a problem with it ( posting political banners)*remember Daniel Haase's red socialist party flag???*
now all the sudden a yellow ribbon is offencive, but a red ribbon wasnt'???

She could have far better helped her cause by staying alive. Her life was far more precious than the few buildings she was trying to save.

>after 1 million of people have died from a useless embargo this war is the best solution to the problem? give me a break!<
Your only solution appears to be supporting rioting and traffic stoppage around the world. Explain to me how thats helping anyone?

Typical protester attack, No concern what so ever about all the people that Saddum has killed/gassed in his years in power or any concern for the human rights of the Iraqi people while Saddum has been in power.

I am sick of hearing anti-war protesters who think they can infringe on my rights by stopping traffic, and causing public disturbances.
Fox news is reporting that hundreds of British and US Govt websites are being hacked and defaced as a protest to the war. IMHO, that is a nothing short of a terrorist act.

Storytime With Auntie JoJo
by joannadandy inonce upon a time there was a set of siamese twins, who looked nothing alike, had never been conjoined, had been born to different parents, and in different years.
their albino glow is what held them together, and kept them separate from the world.
the albino siamese twins were put in a travelling freak show.
