  A minute of my time

  last night i had an interesting experience that i never would have had if i was still a jw.

  i had to share.. my partner and i had some friends over for a visit last night and we ordered pizza.

  after the pizza guy left, this guy outside got my attention.

  i have been a jw for more than 10 years and less than 30. i'm not naive about the ways of the borg.

  i was a hot shot jw at one time, one of the few that enjoyed 90% acceptance from my audience.

  this is one of the things that has brought me some trouble.

  Love is???

  never having to say you're sorry, (cliche) .

  knowing that your soulmate is human and does make mistakes.. finding another kindred spirit, after fate pulls your first love from your grasp.. acknowledging you don't have all the answers, and that you really don't know everything.. knowing there is a purpose for the universe, sometimes you can see it, and sometimes you can't, even if you try.. not allowing the memory of love lost and its abounding beauty to blind us to the future prospect of love to come.. cherishing and honoring the memory of those we have loved and lost.

  Bike seat is killing my butt

  i haven't ridden one in years.

  only the seat is hurting my butt.

  i'm glad you're here, chevy :) this forum has helped me a lot, too.

  it's awesome to be able to communicate and connect with people who know exactly where you're coming from. i don't know of any other people who have to deal with the heartache of losing their family and friends over a religion. especially one that hasn't even been around all that long. why do people even take the jehovah's witness religion seriously? that's a whole other thread. anywho...

  i think it's vital to have somewhere like this forum to go to and know that you are not alone.

  My father is dead

  today i found out that my dad committed suicide, probably on sunday sometime.

  his body was found today and the plano police department called me.

  i am numb and grieving, kind of relieved for a lot of reasons, and very very sad.

  thinking of trading in sabine's little miata for a pick up truck.

  the miata has beenfun to drive when the weather is nice.

  however, if you know what seattle is like 9 months out of the year, you do not get to put the top down very often.
