  Girls can pursue domestic studies, typing and other secretarial skills, opportunities as medical assistants or other interesting and practical fields of work now open to women.

  Typing, really...what century are they in? Today's "secretaries" need to have excellent computer skills in addition to numerous other skills. And, most I know have Associate degrees.

  some folks expressed curiosity about the doctrines of the worldwide church of god and how they were similar to jws.

  so heres the down and dirties of what i think we had similar.

  1. armegeddon - yep we referred to it as the great tribulation followed by the day of the lord.

  This discussion led me to look at a list of other cults to see how similar they are to JW...I came across one called Garbage Eaters. A few similarties with JWs (wouldn't you know?!)

  How awful! Not all, but many JWs feel it is okay to cheat and mistreat "worldly" people, afterall "they are going to die at armegeddon anyway". This is a quote from my ex sister in law, a JW.

  E-Watchman on Unbelievable podcast

  there's this podcast, unbelievable, that i've been listening to.

  it's from britian, and usually has debates between atheists and christians, or between christians of varying beliefs.

  anyway, the host; justin brierly; has been trying to get a jw on his show for a while, but to no avail.
