The Beginning of the End
by SolidSender ini've got my own opinion on this but i'm very interested to hear from anyone who has viewpoints on what impact they think the internet is going to have on the wtbs say over the next 5 - 10 years.-solidsender

Yes, I have to admit, that even though I was considered "weak" in the truth, back in 96, before I got onto the net in 1997, I would still have defended it to my death as the "Truth" and thought I just must not be good enough for it. Once I typed in Jehovah's Witnesses into a search engine, that was all she wrote. I first found H20, and wrote to Liberal Elder, thinking he was a real elder and would tell me I would be ok, that what I thought I was seeing, I wasn't seeing! LOL He never even wrote me back. I wasn't worth the bother.
Then, I found the Blood site. I printed the entire thing PLUS the flock book. Took them home and read them, and started to realize that the truth was a lie, a very BIG lie. I then went and bought a copy of Crisis of Conscience at the local "Christian" book outlet. What I read there solidified all my suspicions into the REAL truth, that the WTBTS had lied and contrived to control my mind. That I had given my marriage up, my family up, my education up, my HAPPINESS up for a big fat lie that would never come true.
You bet the internet will work. All you have to do is get someone to type those two words into a search engine, and that's all it takes.

ATTENTION Lurking Jehovah's Witnesses.
by Martini indear fellow jw's,.
visiting this board and briefly viewing some of the comments here your probably wondering if this db is pro or anti-jw.. your probably asking yourself is this board for active, 'loyal' jehovah's witnesses?.
i'm not sure i can speak on behalf of the posters at this db, however from my perspective i will "try" to set this matter straight for you.. are those posting here current jw's or are they hiding that they are apostates?.

I agree with all these posts. Thanks for the good thread, Martini. I have a good friend who's a regular meeting attender. And even HE refers to himself as a bit of a rebel, as he doesn't agree with the things Men have done in the name of God. He just isn't convinced that because they do these things, it's possibly not the true religion. Or is there even a "true" religion?
But Martini, I really think you hit the nail on the head. Thanks for the good post.

Irony of "Rebellious" Youth
by Pathofthorns ini've found it quite interesting talking to several young ones who lead double lives.
the sad thing is, i don't find these ones so wicked.
i find them basically good kids who got a little messed up because no one had any time for them, or attempts to relate were rather lame.. the irony is that while talking to one while he was smoking a cigarette, out of nowhere he says, "but i still believe its the truth".

Katchoo,
It sounds like they were witch-hunting (figuratively!). They had no right to ask you lurid details. That was totally uncalled for. Those auras you see are the natural energy fields that eminate from people. Some have MORE fields of energy than others, and you can even FEEL it when they walk into a room. It's a totally natural phenomenon, and not demonic whatsoever! Sickos, they are.
Hugs,

What is the WT afraid of???????????????????
by Zep inok, since it was so easy to get on here i'm assuming that this place is also over run by wts critics...but anyway!.
i've read a plenty of wt mags and got sucked in enough by the whole thing to go to a few meetings and do a bible study( which i wouldn't really call a study, since we just read one of their books).i soon broke of the whole thing and didn't even read another mag for about 6 years...6 months ago i wandered into h20 out of curiosity and ended up reading up on the arguments against the wts.. i have a simple question, and its probably very naive to ask this...but why is wts so afraid of debate?...there are plenty of sites arguing against the wts...but none for, apart the official site which doesn't address the issues raised by so called "apostates" anyway.. if the wt has the the truth why dont they just refute the the arguments against them instead of shutting up shop and labelling anyone who questions them an "apostate?
" or from satan or something.. i'm really beginning to think that all this wt business is just waste of time, that if i were to go to kh and ask questions that i have, i'm more likely to be labelled a trouble making agent of satan rather than be taken at face value as someone with serious questions.

Unity enforced is not unity at all. It's COERCION.
I correct that statement. Unity BY force is not unity at all. It's COERCION. And Unity above Truth undermines their entire reason for BEING a religion.

SC,
Any thinking person can see you have genuine love of man in you. And a TRUE conscience. You have done what your conscience, which was God-given (by what we've been taught) told you to do. Who can possibly say that is wrong of you? Good luck to you and your family. I hope you stay with us and enjoy fellowship. Bravo to you for having the courage of your convictions!

Spiritual Food At the Proper Time?
by GramFan ini was talking to a friend of mine who used to work in bethel nyc, a well respected brother.
he was telling me of how material for the book study group was really decided.
especially those really "deep", "meaty" books like " freedom and life everlasting in the sons of god", "gods kingdom of a thousand years" etc.

Marion_nett,
As you can see, before you ever posted your rebuttal, I had edited my words. My mistake, I had already re-read the profile and fixed it myself. I'm sorry if my words hurt your feelings.
I guess you could say my words of liking one food without the spices was a dig, but basically I was saying that you weren't an infant on milk, but just wanted ONE FOOD without the spice. In other words, one religion with no other views ACCEPTED.
Take it how you like, I have already posted in several places that all views should be welcome if that's the way Simon wanted it when he set this forum up. And he has already assured me THAT is the case. So I defend your right to post your views, just as I would defend my right to post Mine without pot-shots from you about it.RCAT
