Yeah, haven't seen Tina here at all lately! I've been packing to go overseas, so you won't see me as much here over the next six weeks or so. I can only spare about an hour a day for it. Hugs!

I agreee. No matter what the reason, Posting personal emails is a big NO-NO. 1100 Sq ft of apartment space with a fireplace? Damn, I would have been happy to have a third of that space that with NO fireplace when I was down and out. Tell her to lower her expectations and get an affordable home. Alot of times these cries for help are 3/4 crying wolf. Not saying this one is, but still the personal email should NOT have been posted without permission.

here are some quotes to help know there is no true truth.. (and by the way you could help yourself by losing your anger).
he who begins by loving christianity better than truth, will proceed by loving his own sect or church better than christianity, and end in loving himself better than all.. .
a man must be both stupid and uncharitable who believes there is no virtue or truth but on his own side.. .
Yep, let's get this to the top.. time for Jason to learn something besides his version of "Truth".

on this website there seems to be so many lies and so little actual truth.
is this supposed to be a place to get answers or confuse the hell out of truth seekers?
well, for you seekers out there, if you find the truth on this site it'll be a major fluke.
Spider,
I liked what you had to say. Very mature and refreshing after all the bullshit spewing of Jason. Welcome to the DB!

are all men of equal value?
it seems obvious to me that they are equal, and that is true regardless of the colour of a persons skin.. but what about a situation where a country has a high immigrant population, and these immigrants cause discomfort to the indigenous people with their culture, is it then a racist act to complain about them?.
in birmingham, england, moslems have erected a huge mosque.
yeah, that's one big gripe I have about the USA. They'll take all the immigrants who come over illegally and wine/dine them in a fine fashion, giving them every benefit that they won't give to their own poor. Try to get someone into the country legally, and they throw every roadblock you can think of in your way! I think they WANT a country full of uneducated people, instead of those who are educated and actually work for a living!

with all of the america bashing going on of late, i thought i'd mention the fact that america stands for freedom, as flawed as our system may be.
you're even free to be critical of the government and it's leaders.
the many men and women who have died defending this country did so to preserve the rights even of people who hate the u.s. there are many different cultures here, so there are many different attempts at creating laws for the land.
I am currently living in Australia on a temporary Visa, yet I have never felt like I am living in a democracy. It is a beautiful country.....very...yet the government really stinks.
The people had a chance to be a Republic......what did they do??? Deny it!!!The people didn't want a GST...what did they do???? Vote for it!!!
Something goes terribly wrong......do they storm the streets in protest????
Only a few...
Ladonna,
Everything you said in this post was the absolute truth. It's amazing, you and I come from different parts of the world, but we see the same things wrong with this government!

i knew a presiding overseer in the congregation i attened who was possibly the strangest person i ever met.
he took a rigorous position toward the society's view on everything!!!
he was against many things ....including....science fiction, fantasy, the x-files, disneyland, cartoons and football.
Definitely, the strangest people I ever knew in the KH were this huge family named Trask. They were traveling vagabonds, from Oregon to Arizona, to Colorado to Missouri. Always looking like they lived on "Tobacco road". Four of the grandchildren had a mother who had whiskers all around her mouth, on her chin, and she was one really weird chick. She wouldn't let her daughter wear anything that was pretty, made her wear clothes that were too big and old for her. If any of us gave the poor girl some clothes, the Mom threw them away, saying they were too "provocative" looking. These were just NICE dresses with lace and and buttons,in Gunne Sax style (women who sew will know what I'm referring to) The father was a painter, and he was always filthy. Like he rarely bathed or brushed his teeth (shudder). It seemed like the congregation was always trying to help them out financially. They would stick around for awhile, then move on to the next congregation. Weirdest family I ever did see.
The mother of the painter was a long-time Pioneer. A lovely woman but she had some strange stories to tell. Like the time their roof was leaking like a sieve, and she couldn't afford to fix it. She said she prayed and the roof fixed itself. lol She had a son who was in his thirties at that time, and he was brain damaged from a truck accident which had killed her husband in the '60's. The son was two at the time, and he flew up and hit the metal bar between the front windows (old 52 chevy truck), causing permanent brain damage. He was a nice guy and he married another "slow" girl in another congregation. I don't know what ever happened to them, but that was one STRANGE family!

How many other countries have you visited? How many of them have you resided in? Have you really taken the time to study other cultures, or are you just assuming your country is the best?
Good questions, Prisca. I agree that noone should say that their country is the best, when they haven't lived anywhere else. They have NOTHING with which to base that opinion. One must live in another culture to truly appreciate both their own and that of others.
I don't say America is the best, it's definitely different, for sure! And I do say that for myself, personally, it's the better government that I have lived under. But that's just my opinion.

If you prefer America, why are you here?
BE,
I am married to an Australian citizen. We are, however, moving to the USA this summer. I love Australia as a country, but the government of Australia does truly SUCK. John Howard (a weasel if I ever saw one) especially! I've never seen so much propaganda splayed all over the TV as I have seen here. The people are inundated with it constantly.

please, i am asking that only those who responded to my first poll about the numebr of molesters they know, to respond to this poll.
this way i can make sense between the two polls.. please also, as you did before, avoid comments until i post the results.
here are tow qeustions and how i answer them to kick this poll off to a start:.
2 molesters..
Molester #1-- 2 victims
Molester #2-- 1 victim
I was a part of 3 different congregations throughout my 30 year span of time as a JW. The Molesters were all at the last congregation I was in.
