Sizemik, your manliness is apparent and your sons are blessed to have you as a dad.
Farkel, I wish the world had more men of your caliber. In case you missed my message on Shelby's thread, you have a pm.
this afternoon i had the pleasure of listening to my dad, husband and son discuss timing belts, the teeth they rest on, camshafts, and other car parts that i cant recall at such a late hour.
they were totally engrossed in the conversation and it was fun listening to them talk.
the air was thick with testosterone and they were so manly that i just had to smile about it.

here the end of the world is tomorrow and i went and forgot and only bought cheap beer for tonight.
sometimes, i think i'm the biggest idiot in the world..
I'm the idiot. You just bought cheap beer. I forgot to purchase the XTC and arrange the end of the world orgy.
~Sigh~ I fear I've ruined my reputation as an excellent hostess of many fine parties.
I'm Jewish.
I like Jesus; however, I do not believe in original sin and therefore do not believe he is the messiah who died to even God's score card.
there are many new posters here, and i'm very interested to learn why you chose your screen names.. .
one book i read, the mists of avalon, was very important to me.
among the main characters was merlin, who in the book, was called "taliesen".
Talesin, I LOVED Mists of Avalon!
I know I am not a new poster but I got my screen name by combining the first three letters of my stage name with the first three letters of the name my mother gave me.

Thanks, Sam. Sometimes I think men are blamed for everything wrong in the world. I think it's time we let them know how valuable they are.

I have been blessed by the wonderful men in my life and that includes the ones on this discussion forum. On behalf of myself and other women, thank you. Thank you for your protection, your love, your chivalry, your passion, for making us laugh, and for your knowledge of automobiles. Our lives are sweeter because of you.

but i want to educate myself.
like all jw's, i didn't give a shit about those sorts of things, unless there was an article in the magazine we were placing that month.
and even then, a very shallow understanding is all that i wanted or needed to 'place' the magazine.
oh, and please stop blaming the joos. Gentiles are in on this crap too.

My husband is an economics professor. I was turned on to the following movie and he watched it with me. Although he didn't agree with the entire documentary, he thinks it's pretty spot on. If you have 3.5 hours to spend, watch the movie and you will have a much better understanding of the federal reserve and fractional reserve banking practices which, by the way, began with the Bank of England in the 17th century. undeserved kindness: (a rich word-choice from the beloved green nwt bible.).
ask yourself why you don't deserve kindness.
if god says you don't deserve something and he gives it to you anyway...who is conflicted here??
In Judaism, forgiveness from God is also sought. Jews celebrate Yom Kippur, which is the day of atonement
Botch this is partially true. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year which begins the 10 Days of Awe in which we ask forgiveness and seek reconciliation with the people we have sinned against.
The 10 Days of Awe culminates in Yom Kippur, the day we ask God for forgiveness for the sins we have committed against him. We also ask for his release from any vows we made to him the previous year and did not keep.
However, and this is the point that Terry is making, we are not forgiven by God for the sins we have committed against each other. Only the person we have sinned against can grant forgiveness, God isn't going to do it for us. It takes a lot of intestinal fortitude to go to the person you have wronged, admit your sin and ask for forgiveness. BTW, if the person you ask forgiveness from doesn't feel you are sincere, he doesn't have to grant the forgiveness you seek.
no racial slur here.
literal!.
about 20 minutes ago, while working in the yard, the banny rooster who is always threatening me and others [we have several free-range chickens not a farm], decided to approach and feign a flogging.
WTF, were you fighting Kung Fu Ninja chickens?
ROFLMAO!!!
That rooster was a bona fide bastard!
