okay hi.
i'm new here and i kinda like it but i do have some question have any of you grown up in the truth and then some were along the line stop going to meeting well i did i found out about some stuff the organization was doing and it really disapointed me and also the congregations i have been in haven't been very confornting so if any of you have some you want to talk about or you have been through the same i would really like to hear from you .

WOW!!!
If I were rich;
I would send everyone of you a plane ticket to Seattle, Washington. (round trip of course)
I would have a feast for the wedding dinner
I would take everyone to Fiji for the wedding rehearsal
I would send everyone home right after the wedding with lots of gifts
Since I'm not rich;
I will send evryone an E-mail with our wedding picture
I will eat lots of food for you
I will think of everybody on my way to Fiji
I will have a variety of flowers to represent the variety of friends I have here
I will be thankful for the rest of my life for meeting such wonderful honest people.
Just to let you know, when I finally made the decision to marry, I felt like I had made the right dedision. And I still feel that way. All of you have given me the confirmation I need. We are both older (over 40) so I think we have the maturity for the road ahead. And since we do love each other very much, we will be fine.
I want to know more about all of you , and stay in touch for a very long time.

suggestions on how to go about this are given.. 1. call on them in field service.. 2.

I remember when my X left me. I was alone, and had a daughter to care for. Went to work. (3 jobs) and had no help from the org., but the elders sure did pummel me with questions when I didn't make it to meetings. Single parents need a lot of help. And so do their children. I was very outspoken with the elders. Poor guys didn't know what to do. The kind of work I do means I have to wear work boots, hard hat and carry a lot of heavy stuff. I work in a mans world and love every minute of it. No man will give me a lot of crap about a womans place until they have lived as I do. The elders just ger very confused about what to do with me. So they just leave me alone. I am not a man hater, but I think I deserve the same respect they do. I am thankful every day for the man I love. I do look forward to the wedding.
Keep a positive attitude and don't let anyone walk on you ladies. I thank Jah everyday for the man in your life that gives you understanding and respect.

this is my first time at this so bare with me.
i will be turning 21 tomorrow so i decided to celebrate like this.
my family threw me a surprise birthday a week ago and we even had a pinata .

I have a wonderful daughter. She has been raised as a JW. She is a teenager now. I feel so bad about not even celebrating her birth. I can't believe I have been so ignorant. This year we will celebrate as much as possible. I want her to have so much joy in life. I want her to remember laughter and love during her youth. And most importantly, I want her to remember me as being part of it.
Teach your children the principles of Jesus. The morals of love and kindness to others. Honesty and sharing. Compassion and tenderness. Respect and honor. As you teach them these things the other questions will be easily answered.

I think we may go to Fiji. Turtle Island. If the business allows it. We are pretty busy right now. He is trying to get me to agree to the Bahamas. I think I will hold out for Fiji.
A part of me is sad though thinking about not having someone there that I have shared my life with as a friend. Kind of all alone in a room full of people.
The only good thing is I will spend the rest of my life with the person I love.

Yes, as soon as we determine the date, I will let everyone know. I am very excited about marrying this guy. He is so wonderful. We have known each other for over 3 years. He has put up with a lot from me. I even made him feel like dog poop because I said I was a JW so he wasn't good enough for me. He kept being persistent in a very sweet way, and won my heart. I think Jehovah would be happy for me don't you?

Well you certainly have me laughing. Thanks. I like the belching and farting the best. Only I have my fiance' convinced for now that I don't do that. I guess the reception would be good a time as any to let him know how I really am.

I met a df'd JW when I wasn't yet sure about leaving the org., recently I saw her again. She said she had started going to meetings again. I asked "WHY"? She said "because it's the right thing to do." I was dumbstruck. Here we were sitting in a pub drinking, she was smoking, and hanging on her boyfriend. I guess I get confused easily. Anyway, I wanted to shake her and say you're out, enjoy life. Stop living a double life. Don't be ashamed of what you feel and want to do. Then I realized that I hadn't invited any of my JW friends out for a drink either. Oh well.....

I want to get married. He is not in a JW. I don't care. We plan to get married in June if all goes well. I will have no family or friends at the wedding. I'm sure all of you can guess why. If you were invited to such a wedding, would you come? I don't even have a maid of honor. No one to stand beside me except my soon to be husband. I don't expect anyone there in person, but it seems as though there isn't even anyone to be happy for me. I'm happy for me!!! Maybe that's enough. Anyway I am trying to come up with a lot of reasons why it is good to not have a big mushy wedding, and here's my list. Feel free to add to it. I think I need some humor right now.
WHY SMALL WEDDINGS ARE GREAT
At least I won't have to spend a lot on postage.
Won't need a lot of food at the reception.
Can dress yucky and won't have to worry about gossip
Can play dirty music
Can dance dirty to dirty music
Can get really drunk, and dance dirty.....'
Won't need to send thankyou notes for any gifts.
Won't have to return stupid gifts
Anyway, everyone is invited. But you must RSVP. (at least think of me)
