accusing the witnesses of targeting society's weaker elements, including new immigrants, the poor and the handicapped, critics blast what they call the group's devious recruitment methods.
"they've mapped out all of israeli society and then target segments that don't get attention elsewhere," said cohen.
Ah, Bible Students have been in Israel for years, and they love us. Must be that Pro-Israel stance we promote.

im sure all of us at one time or another witnessed homes that broke our heartshere are a few of mine.
some of the homes i had been invited into out in service really left an impression on me.
call it naive or whatever, it was a real eye opener in some cases.. one in particular that i remember was a poor family with 8 little girls, stair step in age, the oldest no more than 9. this was an rv of the sister i was with.... very nice people, but the living conditions were appalling.
I lived in the South Bronx, I saw the worst. Even lived in Jersey City, NJ and witnessed in the projects. Hallways and elevators used as public bathrooms, crack vials shrewn on the ground. Of course they all blamed the "white man" for it all.
i know as exjws, probably for the most, there was a secret freedom in watching horror films without thinking you would have a demon as a bed buddy.. i am not very fond of every horror movie, but i will watch those that have an intelligent side to it and is not gore for the sake of gore.
like "the ring" got me going when i first watched it, just like "the blair witch project" did, which is more about suspense.
anyway, i never saw any of the saw movies, so i am going to try to watch saw iii tonight, since it is on showtime.
The Scariest movie I ever saw was: Jehovah’sWitnesses—TheOrganizationBehindtheName
Anyone wants the actual text, just let me know, I have it.
1894-a-conspiracy-exposed.pdf (32.74 mb) .
many of us wonder what kind of a man russell was.
the april 25, 1894 watch tower there was a special edition exposing a conspiracy regarding a possible overthrow of russell's power.. page 11 states that a bro zech disagreed with russell's opinion that the printed page was the best way to preach the word.
Cleaning out some boxes in my basement. I cam across this about von Zech
"Joining th movement in 1885, Von Zech became editor of Zion's Wach Thurm, the German version of Zion's atch Tower. This he replaced with Die Ernte-sichel (The Harvest Sickle) in 1891, which he edited for two decades, even setting its type. he also translated Russell's major tracts into German. Later breaking with Russell, he took his press and founded in 1900 a communitarian settlement in Virginia called Friedheim. Later he moved to Philadelphia, where he continued Die Ernte-Sichel until his death in 1906"
remember the dubs were called the bible students before rutherford gave them the name jehovahs witnesses.
it looks like there was a split and some of the bible students never accepted that name.
look at this site will ya.
I think Marley Cole, the "renown" "investigative journalist" * who wrote "Jehovah's Witnesses: The New World Society" offers evidence that Dwight's Mom was attending JW conventions and meetings.
That is right, Dwight's mom stayed with the Society and became a JW. His father however stayed a Bible Student and served as an elder in a local ecclesia.
The Eisenhower home actually has Russell's books on the shelf and a chart of the Great Pyramid in the living room that was donated by the Bible Students, as they only had a pictute of it now they hqave the real thing, they were very appreciative. Don't expect the Watchtower to donate anything unless it benefits them.

I just dont get the "brethren" terminology.
LOL ... you know Dinah, the first time I heard the term brethren was from a young bethelite elder who was in my congregation. He used the term alot. Actually, "brethren" is not as archaic as you think, many denominations use it.

...most BS's are exjws that just can not let go...
Where did you get your statistics from? I will have to disagree with you. A VERY small percentage of Bible Students are xjws. Less than 5%.
something i cant comprehend is when religous types justify terrible things as part of "gods plan".
how does this make sense to anyone?im just interested in others viewpoints.
Ever try and google the phrase "God has a Plan"? Most of it has to do with the likes of those who promote "prosperity gospel"
