My son's comic

if we are indeed living "deep into the time of the end", and if jehovah is going to speed things up, then why are the numbers of the organization getting lower with each passing year?
with the chart below showing their dwindling and embarassing figures, it's one of two things: either this organization does not have god's blessing, or the end must still be a long way off...........i've quoted a couple of captions from the literature......hmmm..... seems to me like they fit the description of babylon the great a little bit better than an organization that is being run by jesus christ.. *** .

Ah, but this simply shows how close to the end we really are. It's just like in Noah's day. God closed the door, and seven days passed before the rain started. God has simply closed the door. New ones can't get in any more. The end is just that close.

"Worldy" Event at Assembly Site
by MissBehave inso last night i went to an event at the arena where i used to attend assemblies, most notably the four day summer district convention, many many moons ago.
i have been to a couple concerts there since fading but this one was different because the house lights were up the whole time so it reminded me more of the assemblies.
it was weird in a deja vu kind of way and liberating all at the same time.

My wife and daughter saw Black Eyed Peas at the same arena that we had our DCs. The DCs drew around 5,000 people, and parking was always snarled. The Peas drew 14,000, and parking was a breeze - WITH NO PARKING ATTENDANTS. Everyone was very courteous, not like at assemblies.

Those are very well thought out and succinct responses and summaries. You can also tell within a few sentences that he really was a witness and really understands the doctrines and their implications. This is the type of critic that the society should be very afraid of.

i didn't want to hijack his thread, so i started this one.. .
i'm getting old, i guess, and maybe alzheimer's is starting in, but i have lost my vision, my understanding, my assurity if you will.

Hmm. It seemed pretty conclusive to me. I love the last line that says that sometimes God intercedes and sometimes he doesn't. Sounds like God is indistinguishable from random chance, to me. -

Creationist cartwheels must be doled out over pretty small issues these days. I really don't see anything in this story that would turn me even marginally toward God. This is definitely interesting stuff, but hardly fodder for conversion.
